iRiver T20 MP3 Player Questions & Answers
How to open IRiver T20 MP3 Player to replace battery
The T20 has a 'built in' battery like most modern mobile phones have. Changing the battery isn't easy, it involves taking the player apart to access the battery. It may be easier to replace the whole MP3 for a new one.

IRIVER PROBLEM SHOWS usb connect
When it is plugged into pc, that is all you will see. If this is happening while disconnected from pc, then reset the player to get past this stage.
Windows doesn't see T20 on any USB port
It sounds like the USB plug-in on the player itself could be damaged. I would call the manufacturer to see if you are in warranty - if the volume+/force recognition method does not work, then we are in a bind. You could try uninstalling/reinstalling the software, but I doubt that it will work, because none of the other pc's recognized it - double check the manual to see if there is a hold/lock switch - if it is pressed, then no pc will recognize it.
Pls help!!!
Make sure you have the latest version of Windows Media Player. XP has
all the right drivers but the iRiver needs to synchronise with Media
Player inorder to transfer music onto the player using the sync
function. Get Media Player 10 or higher then plug the iRiver into the
computer.
XP should display it as a drive in "My Computer". It may require a firmware upgrade. This can be downloaded from
T20 Firmware Upgrade V1.71 No Guarantees....Hope this helps.

Iriver T20 not recognized
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
