You can't delete songs off the iRiver from the device, you have to do it from the PC using the iRiver Music Manager Software that can be found on their website

It sounds like a freeze in the hardware, try letting the battery run flat and then retry, if that does not help, then it is to do with your storage space on the device gone corrupt, if you just bought it now, take it back to the shop and get them to replace it.

Yo Man it may just mean they are the wrong file type. Check what file types are compatible with the device and then convert them. The best way of converting a file type is FormatFactory. GOOD LUCK XD

i cannot find my iriver ifp 790 mp3 player software.does anyone have a location to get one?

JUST RESET THE PLAYER.

connect your device to another computer and there you can delete some of the files in your device from the computer. Your device will just appear as another drive from where you can access files and delete them

When you're in the Now Playing screen press and hold the Play/Pause button (right edge of screen). At the top of the slide-in menu you'll see Play Mode. Click Pause button again and scroll to "Normal" and choose it.

i don't really see it as a solution. but suddenly it just started working again. i don't really know how long it will last with no problems. a while a go it took me more than 30 min. to at least make the computer identify the mp3 by connecting and discharging the cable. If you have any idea on what might be something im doing wrong, pls email me. thanks for your concern.

Mate, the beauty of irivers is that they double in memory and halve in price all the time. i actually had the same problem but I overcome it by throwing it out and buying an apple iphone. Yes sure they are expensive, but these days they have just about everything you need. You can't just sit there and wait for it to sort it's self out.
