Take a small cup and boil it in a microwave, then submerge the printing head (gold foil area) of the cartridge in the boiling water, please be careful doing this, The hot water will dissolve and clear the head, if no joy the print head is defective and you need to buy another one.

The Grand Total Key is the * on the far bottom right side. So, when you are adding/subtracting stuff, your input would look something like this: 426+ 532+ 958* I'm a current Business Technologies student at Job Corps and I JUST went over how to use this kind of calculator with my instructor. I hope this helped!

Make sure the printer is not jammed, make sure no buttons are sticking, if not replace it.

Hi, I had the same problem...but I fixed it. Here's how: At the very back of the calculater under the paper roller there is a very thin horizontal slot. Insert the tip of the paper roll into the slot, then press the paper advance button located on the top left hand sidw of the calculator until you see the paper. Guide the paper through the top slot and voila.

I also have a Canon P23-DH 111 that is printing strange symbols. This has happened after an electrical storm.
I contacted Canon Support and they verified that the board inside has been corrupted by a power surge.
I now have a new Canon P23-DH V and I invested in a surge protector.
My grandaughter is playing with the old machine.

The same thing happened to me. Wouldn't feed paper and the printer function didn't work. The E was in the lower left of the screen. I tried the reset button on the back, but that didn't help.I took the ink cartridge out and reseated it and that fixed the problem. It was installed incorrectly direct from the factory as my calculator was new out of the box.

That would depend on the interest rate and the compounding interval. At one percent compounded annually, you would get $1000. At two percent compounded semiannually, you would get $2010.

There's a negative button and a minus button. I think you're accidently pressing the negative button. The actual subtraction button is the red "-" button above the "+" button. I hope this helps, but if all else fails, you can always add a negative!

Then press and hold the date/time set button (just tor the right of the red minus button) for three seconds until it begins to blink.
