Try to reset by pressing the reset button or press the small hole at the back of the device. If it is not working, that is the time to replace it.

I used to be able to receive them automaticlly, but then I moved and when I rehooked it up I could no longer get them automatically. I can still get them but I have to be there to push the button when a fax is coming through. Help.

unplug everything and take out the RAM and boot see if bios come on. its possible a faulty peripheral is overloading teh power supply/motherboard
