Angela, Your Viewsonic (apparently) used: Android OS 2.2 and that is quite old! (Almost always), a Android device needs to be OPERATIONAL before it can be updated. It MUST also be able to 'communicate' to receive the updated OS... Now your VS (apparently) HAS a external SD Card slot, so you MAY be able to copy the new Android OS to that card then maybe you can load from there ~ BUT, your Tablet MUST be operational to do it! One thing you've got to know and as a matter of fact acquaint yourself with is this- Original Apple OS devices, gadgets and equipments DO NOT readily pair or connect with Android OS based devices, gadgets and equipments. With time, maybe someone can find a way round to resolve this impasse but at the time, its best you save yourself all the aggravations. Make use of your maplin keyboard instead.
