Where is "ask mode" on my classpad 330 calculator?

The ask mode exists in Tables on some Ti calculators. Maybe it does not exit as such on the ClassPad 300.

Hi, On the classpad when I

The calculator did solve the equation and give you the result. But because the function is periodic there is an infinite number of angles that satisfy the equations. That is where the constantn(1) intervenes. constantn(1) is the ClassPad way of signifying an arbitrary integer. Your solutions are x=-3/2 plus or minus 6 times N, where N is an arbitrary integer.

Casio Classpad 330 batteries run out very easily.

This may or may not solve your problem but it might alleviate it. The calculator has a power saving mode which you can configure as follows.Turn ClassPad ONTap the Menu icon at the bottom of the screen.Scroll down until you see the System Icon4_25_2012_10_00_05_pm.pngTap the system icon. After a few moments the calculator comes back and displays the system configuration screen.At the top of the system configuration screen tap the battery icon (look for a + - sign).This opens the power saving properties.The power Save Mode will turn power saving mode automatically, after a day, one week or one month. It can also turn the power Save Mode OFF.4_25_2012_10_01_55_pm.jpgThe other configurable setting is the auto Power OFF. It turns the calculator OFF after 1 min, 3 min, 6 min or 60 minutes.4_25_2012_10_05_38_pm.jpg.Note: another possibility is the use of rechargeable NiMH batteries. Be aware that some manufacturers discourage strongly the use of rechargeable batteries.Hope it helps

Solve equations

To have any meaning, the x variable must be in radians. To find the solutions of this equation you can graph the functions y_1=x*sin(x) y_2=0.1 Graph the two functions and find the intersection points of the two. Because the two functions are even F(-x)=F(x), it suffices to consider their intersections on the interval [0, + infinity[ There are many solutions (an infinite number of them) See some screen captures below. After the graphs are drawn, use the G-Solve feature to find the intersections. 31d11b8f-3634-4950-b0a8-22dfc733c995.jpg d2c83bb6-cba0-4548-83c0-f76ed1b63709.jpg b1cd8b8a-de8e-4718-a652-2f3aff246e28.jpg c5ee47a2-72a1-43dc-8c38-9dd40a540fe7.jpg

X=ln(seca+tana) find coshx

Sorry I do not like to work with secant and cosecant. sec(a)+tan(a)=(1+sin(a))/cos(a) ln(sec(a)+tan(a))= ln( (1+sin(a))/cos(a))=X 2*cosh(X)= e^(X)+e^(-X) e^(X)=(1+sin(a))/cos(a) e^(-X)= cos(a)/(1+sin(a)) 2cosh(X)=(1+sin(a))/cos(a) +cos(a)/(1+sin(a))= 2/cos(a) cosh(X)=1/cos(a)=sec(a) Now that you see how you can do it, I trust you will discover any mistake I might have made. If you want to use the classPad function sequence Action>Transformation>simplify(, do it step by step as I have detailed above. Good Luck.
