if it is lcd or led try to replace inverter board, if plasma replace y-sustain board.

check to see if settings in the menu like "hall" etc as one of them is likely causing this issue.

it was a t-con board failure.

We replaced cap at c766 16v 220ohm...booyah!

Hi,

Problem is in either power supply or the Y-Sustain board.

The Y-Sustain is a relatively large board out of which go connections to the side of the display; it's therefore closer to either the left or the right side of the display, has at least one rather large heat sink on it and fat power cables connecting it to the main power supply.

Often there are fuses on that board - one or more. Check those.

if they are blown you can try to replace them, but expect them to blow again - usually the whole board needs to be replaced.
take care in handling the set....

try pushing the buttons on the tv itself instead of remote control

Unplug the power cable. While unplugged, press and hold the power button for 30 seconds. Release and repeat for another 30 seconds. Plug it back in and try to turn it on.

after I believe 5 hours, it will shut itself off as a powersaver setting. you can set this to on/off in your tv setup.
