Hello, The blinking pattern you're observing is a result of a heavy current load on the power supply. The power supply could be defective but more than likely the scan or sustain boards have a direct short on them causing the power supply to shut down and display the error. Yes and no.  Yes you can connect the PS3 to the plasma using the component video inputs, games and videos will play fine.  However the native resolution of the TV is only 480P (852X480 pixels) which is much lower than the 1080P that the PS3 is capable of.  If you want a tv that can get the best possible image from the PS3 you would need a TV with full 1080P resolution and HDMI ports for digital input. mine turns itself on as soon as its plugged in,goes to just a blue screen and buttons do nothing,no menu,no volume,just a bright blue screen,whats up with that?

Sounds like convergence are off. Go to menu and find tv convergence and reset. This deals with red, blue, and green.

Caps in high voltage needs changing, needs tech

It could be a loose power cord, check the connections on the back and make sure everything is secure. Also place the remote in a place where the buttons won't accidentally get pushed.
