Check the cassette door sensor: Make sure that the cassette door sensor is clean and free of debris. If the sensor is dirty or blocked, it may not be able to properly detect the presence of a cassette in the VCR.
Try unplugging the VCR: Unplug the VCR from the power source, wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in. This may reset the cassette detection mechanism and allow you to open the cassette door.
Try using the manual release: Some VCRs have a manual release mechanism that allows you to manually open the cassette door. Check the user manual or the VCR itself for instructions on how to use the manual release.
If none of the above steps work, it's likely that there is a problem with the cassette detection mechanism or the cassette door sensor. It's recommended to contact a professional technician for repair.
It's worth noting that the problem might be caused by a malfunctioning mechanism or parts, that may need to be replaced and it's best to be addressed by a professional technician.
You have identified a problem with the IR sensor on your JVC LT-58MAW595 television. The IR sensor is responsible for receiving signals from the remote control, so if it is damaged or not functioning correctly, the tv may not respond to remote commands.
If the IR sensor is caved in and has scraped the gold ribbon cable that is in line with the sensor box, the ribbon cable has also likely been damaged. The ribbon cable is a thin, flexible circuit board that connects the IR sensor to the main circuit board of the television.
In this case, you may need to replace the ribbon cable to repair the IR sensor. The ribbon cable is a small part, and it is not a common one; it is part of the main circuit board of the television.
It is not recommended to try to repair the ribbon cable; it is best to replace it with a new one.
The part you are looking for might be hard to find, and it might be best to contact JVC or a professional technician to determine the availability of the ribbon cable and the replacement cost.
Keep in mind that working with the main circuit board of the television requires technical knowledge and skill; it's best to have a professional technician perform the repair.
Hi there!
Typically the red light on lots of appliances (TV'S in particular) indicate power is available to the appliance, is this so on your tv?
If so the first thing you should focus on is resetting the breaker associated with that power outlet or changing outlets. If there is a reset button on the tv then push it. After you do this we can go on to the next steps- it sounds like the set is not getting any power so let make sure then get back to me. Good Luck and Thanks
Mr.Mike
Unless you have electronic schooling and the equipment don't attempt to fix it yourself, it's a guessing game as far as what board, backlights or panel is causing the issue unless you have equipment, knowledge and service manual recycle it.
Hi Kyle, It isn't really recommended to bypass any of the safety switches in the TV.
Maybe there is some other switch you can buy and install on the TV.
What is the model number on the TV?
Hi,
Please make sure that the discs do not have scratches . Then, you can clean any lens that the jvc machine uses to read your disc. Afterwards, you can attempt to play the discs again.
If this does not work, please factory reset your device before attempting again. Otherwise, I think you might need to have the device repaired or potentially replaced.
Thank you.
Unplug the JVC from the power outlet for 10 seconds. Plug the JVC TV back into the power outlet. Hold down both the "Menu" and "Volume Down (-)" buttons for another 10 seconds. Just before releasing these buttons, press and hold the "Power" button.
Two boards can cause the set to be dead, (power and main) considering this was storm related there is a better chance of it being power board failure, however static from lightning can come in the antenna or cable input if you use either of those. If you're using HDMI it's most likely going to be the power board.
Showmax is a 'Subscription on Demand' station, so you need to set up an account and they need your credit card details. You are currently in 'Preview Mode'.
