what do you have running you cable

Does it get the lines on any channel? Do the lines move across at screen slowly?

try to read the manual of that television

You might be able to do it in the menu(turn it off)or you may be able to select a close caption mode(cc1,cc2,etc) that is not in use in your area , that way nothing will appear on the screen even though the ccaption is on. Hope this will help

Its better If you have found a dead tv somewhere may be from your neighbour so you can replace with that.

it may be dry points near audio circuitry

It may be a dry solder point somewhere near the vertical IC. First take look at the solder points and if you found cracks pls resolder it. if the lines continous you have to replace Caps near the vertical or circuit.thank you

I think it's in sleep mode. On your remote, click the button that says 'sleep' until it says '0 minutes'

1. Unplug the set and wait a minute, then plug it back in.
2. Could it be coming from your cable box? Try playing a dvd or vcr tape and see if it's still there.

If you know how to use the multimeter is to get a service manual. Try http://www.servicemanuals.net Then troubleshoot the power supply and the sweep supplys. In most cases if you had to replace a complete board,unless you get it from an exchange company that repairs boards such as http://www.ptscorp.com, then it exceeds the cost of a new set. Good Luck

Manual push buttons part number should be CM35776-B01-SA.

did you check his horizontal transistor?what is the voltage of the b+ in flyback. but common causes of that model is the defective horizontal transistor.
