Can I connect a 3.5mm audio cable from my TV to this JVC RX705V receiver?

So if you're trying to amplify the sound coming out of your TV to an amplifier you need to connect the output on the back of your TV on the receiver to the end audio input on the back of your receiver you might need different types of connections on each end but as long as you take the output on the TV and input it into your receiver your receiver will amplify the sound another way you could do it is to go inside the TV and connect two wires off of each of the two wires of each speaker leaving the internal speakers connected and then plug them in to the audio inputs on your receiver also if you're using one of the audio outputs on TV make sure you go into the menu and tell it you're using external speakers Good Luck Chuck

Have a JVC sub SP-PWM606 all speakers work except sub. found a blown cap on what I assume is the sub's amp replaced 2 caps- still no sub

Sub woofers are basically mono amps. It's likely that either a fuse has gone, on the sub, due to the blown caps. Or more likely the main power amp device of the device blew the caps. I suspect if you replace the IC or transistor(s) on the heatsink then the device will come back to life.

I recently got this jvc model number SP-PWC5, system number TH-C5, unfortunately I bought it from Craigslist and it did not come with the cables. I am wondering if a normal s-video cable will work?

I have a jvc CA-MXKA6

The click is a relay. The 12 position is obviously past the max you should be applying. Keep it below that and you should be fine. Quite often the 12 or 1 position is the max output for a receiver. It depends on a lot of different factors but in your setup 12 is It.

Tuning a JVC UX-d237B micro system

Hello here is a tip.maybe you have already tried this but on the back you have the speakers and a pair of red and black switches, you have to put the wires into the holes on the TOP (not the sides) of the little box on the back...then once you have put the wires in flick the flaps UP :) JVC UX LP5 Micro Desktop Stereo System JR com

My JVC cd player is in lock position. Cant open

What model of JVC? Portable, table-top hi-fi type, model number? If case-type with a bezel, which ejects, maybe the ejection mechanism is faulty. There's at least one article in TIPS for this. Otherwise if it has a pinhole at the front, bezel type, shove a paper-clip firmly in to manually eject.

On the back of my jvc mx 200, there is an FM antenna input that says F 750. How do I get it to receive FM broadcast?

Ideally, you need an FM antenna, which is usually a folded dipole loop, looking like a 'T' made of parallel conductor. The input impendance, symbol Z, is usually 50 ohms, so the F 750 may be F Z50 with bottom of Z not visible. F=Frequency modulated input Z=Impedance 50=50 ohms impedance The number '750' makes no sense, as the FM broadcast band frequency of 88-108 MHz is way below 750MHz (UHF), and impedance at 50R is well under 750 ohms. Tip: Although a proper FM antenna is recommended, in good reception areas, such as near a city, a single insulated wire stuck into one 2-pin FM socket or center-pin of a coax FM socket can give reasonable reception.

JVC RX-702B only detects linear PCM, not multi-channel digital

Like most receivers it will probably have settings for the sound output. Once you find this it will be just a matter of switching the system over to Dolby signals. If you find that it already set like that, try switching the DVD or blue ray player you are using or whatever source, using their sound settings on them. So that both devices are sending and detecting Dolby signals. If both devices are set correctly then there probably will be a fault in the decoder of the JVC.
