Jwin JV-TV2042 5.5 in. Portable Television Questions & Answers
Hey my tv screen work
I just fixed one JV-TV2040 monitor that worked intermittently. Turns out the AC power adapter was bad. The wire was cracked inside the strain relief where it goes into the adapter. You can either replace the adapter with a suitable replacement or do like I did and carefully hacksaw the case open, chop out about 4 inches of bad cable, and resolder to the circuit board. I glued the repaired unit back together with silicone glue.
It has not the C405 capacitor
if your are a technician , you will be able to do that.
remove the back, carefully remove the main board, plug the tv. with the multimeter on DC voltage, check the voltage at that point . If you find a 10V , the capacitor will be 16V, if 12V the capacitor will be 25V. in general the capacitor have to be electrolytic and have more than 470microfard.
Tv wont reset
Replace its main system control memory IC, and make an initialize.

Supergirl 13 color tv/dvd combo plays CDs but not DVDs...
If cleaning did not fix it the optical pickup for that unit is damaged in some way---if the set has audio/video INPUT jacks on it just buy a DVD player and hook it to the set.If no jacks you are finished--DVD portion of the unit if available costs more than the entire set.
I put in a dvd
You may want to try cleaning the drive using a drive cleaning disc, otherwise it's probably time to get a new one.

I owned a Jwin portable
Hello,
Most online stores don't have the power cord for your Jwin portable dvd player -JD-VD753/743. The below link is the best I can get amongst online stores.
http://www.bizrate.com/miscellaneous/jwin-portable-dvd-player/
Also, we don't stay in the same vicinity, so I wouldn't know precisely where you can get the power cord. But I believe there should be an electronic accessories store in your area. Try there and you should find a power cord for your Jwin portable dvd player.
If you don't find the exact adapter, you should at least find a closely related power cord with the same voltage or a universal power cord.
Good luck.

I HAVE M/N JD-VD736. WHEN I INSTALL A GOOD DVD, IT
I took a look at your user manual & searched for firmware updates for you, but was unable to find any reference to firmware upgrades for this unit. Therefore, there are only four reasons your player is refusing discs:
The discs from a different region than your player has been activated for.
The discs are scratched or dirty.
There is condensation inside the player.
The lasers lens is dirty.
If condensation is your problem, then no discs should play. If some discs play while others don't, you can rule that out. Place the unit by a moderately warm air vent to blow the water vapor out if this is the source of your symptoms.
If you want to try cleaning the lens, 'cleaning disc kits' are available. Or you can open the unit and very gently roll Q-Tips dipped in 99% isopropanol alcohol across the laser's lens until they come away clean.
I hope that helps.
