it sounds like your tv might have a loose connection inside it call a tv repair man and tell him you might have a loose connection that or your tv is getting overused and probably burnt out

Hi,
Your LG HDTV is in protect mode that why you can see light .To protect further damage of some component parts.There is something internal problem inside maybe there is a shorted or leak capacitor in power supply section.

my screen is green what seems to be the problem

try a reset. you can achieve this thru most TV's settings menu's. Try to look thru this or look thru your manual that came with the TV. If all else fails check Sonys tech support.

It's possible your Light Engine needs replaced. I would have a service company take a look at it to be sure.

The red light indicates the lamp is burned out. A new one is $100 to $200.
Depending on whether you use the old housing or want to order the lamp and housing together. There are lots of sources for this lamp online.

Once the lamp is replaced, it will be good as new and the lamp will last aprox. 8000 hours.

The gray color indicates that all of the colors are working properly. For some reason, you are telling the set that there is no color. How are you connecting to the set? If the set is expecting component video (RGB) and you are sending composite (yel connector), it will appear this way for example. Please update this with your connections and we'll figure it out.
