How Do I Reset the lamp Timer?
I have replaced many lamps in LG TV's and have NEVER heard that. The lamp is meant to be replaced by the consumer but the timer on LG's is ONLY resettable by a special service remote that technicians usually have. The timer has no effect on the voltage to the lamp.
Reset lamp's timer
You will have to purchase the Service Remote in order to reset the lamp hours on that model.
Tv wont turnon afterstandby
LG will sell you a new lamp. It may resolve the problem but just as likely it's the contacts where the lamp unit plugs to the TV. There's a few types of connectors. The early ones are dodgy and cause the problem you describe. A faulty lamp can also cause it though.
I just purchased a bulb for my LG TV model:
I'm sure that many lamps in these models get replaced unnecessarily. The problem is the contacts where the lamp assembly plugs in. Remove and replug the lamp.. Mine has aluminium foil jammed in the connectors for 2 years now and hasn't failed since.. Prior to doing that I had EXACTLY what you described. No more LG for me
RU -44, small "pink" spot on screen.
Green is missing from the area where you see the pink (actually magenta) spot. This might be due to a large amount of dirt on the green lens. It may be due to damage to the face of the green picture tube. You need to remove the front screen so you can look into the lens and determine that.
Depending on the make and model of TV, the screen may be held on by snap fasteners and come loose when you pull on the plastic bezel surrounding it. Or the bezel may pull off to reveal brackets screwed into the cabinet that secure the screen. Or there may be a trim strip under the screen that pulls off to reveal screws. Remove those and the screen will swing up and off.
Once you can see the lenses, clean them with a soft rag and glass cleaner. With the set on, look down into the lens and you can see the face of the picture tube. If you see a dark spot on the face, the tube is damaged and would need to be replaced

I have been having the same issue with mine. After reading this solution, I tried just this... I pulled out the bulb holder (with bulb) and shook it. Once I put it back in it worked. My LG is not quite 3 years old but I first had this issue about 7 months in with increased frequency of the problem.
Lamp clock reset
The only way to reset the lamp timer is with the LG programmer remote, however resetting the lamp timer does not affect the picture quality. If you need a part # for the remote let me know. Maybe you can find an auth. service center who will let you use the remote. If they do, simply power the unit up and when running hit the instart button on the programmer remote and after the menu comes on the screen simply hit the offstart button. The unit will shut of and when you power it again the lamp timer will be reset.
