This will be a setting issue possibly the signal level for aux 1. Or the level on the phone itself.

Yes you should have rca connects for sound on your tv and can connect to aux on your marantz

As the audio is good through the headphones it could be something to do with the headphone socket itself. When headphones are plugged in the socket has a switching mechanism that switches the speakers off. So something around the socket or the actual socket might be causing the problem.

Some Marantz unit have a max volume that can be set by the user. Look under the audio options of the unit and set a higher volume level.

Fuses blow due to an overload, in amps it will be caused most likely by a short in the main power amp section. Probably one or more devices mounted on the main heat sink. The cause is often speaker cables that have shorted, or faulty speakers. The cost can be estimated by taking of the top cover of the unit. This should show the devices on the heat sink. My thoughts is that you have lost the settings of the system, when the remote stopped working. Try doing a full set up again as if it was new. You could also try a factory reset on it, the knowledge to this action should be in the manual.

Some amps offer the entire signal out, to a processor, like a sub woofer. That system will shave the parts of the signal that it needs, ans passes the rest back to the amp for it to process. Your amp will not have to contend with the burden of processing the removed portion of the signal. Supposed to be more efficient and "truer".
