Exception in DisplayRunMap.runMap:

I would suggest you to re-install netframework(Version 2.0/3.0/3.5or even 4.0) whichever your sustem supports. Along with that I recommed you to re-install (install) Internet Explorer (7.0/8.0). Again the sound issue in normal case is not associated with th above but in certain rare cases file associations might get tampered and resultting issue could well be a lot of things. Keep in touch. Video its stop and go in short spurts.

In this case there are various aspect you need to look into:
1) the display driver( graphic)
2) the video format might be incompatible( high resolution ).
3) the codecs installed in your system might not meet the requirement of the videos you are playing.
4) It could also be the memory module.
I woul like to suggest you to install K-Lite Codec 6 Coporate and further keep up with updates of it.

Cant get speckers to work

To get a specific answer to this issue you need to specify the system the problem occurs in...desktop or laptop and also the models. It may be due to a number of reasons and with no specification I cannot or rather noone can pin point the solution. Feel free to further mail in your queries at [email protected]

I was useing my computer

There is a virus which has corrupted some files and therefore it is unable to load windows. In this case you have to reload windows with the help of CDs which came with the computer. If you had made a start up CD, which is advised, when you purchased the computer, that will be very helpful in this case. The only set back will be that you will loose certain data as everything will be reset to factory settings.

I dont have the cd

I would suggest trying a friend or 2 to see if you can borrow theirs. Why do you need to repair XP? What is the problem exactly?

Most newer systems have a recovery partition on the hard drive. See your user guide find out how to recover your system. Most likely you will lose everything because the recovery partition option puts the system back to exactly like the day you bought it.

Hope you have backups of your files if you have to do this...

My Computer will turn on

Right after your POST screen goes off, before you get to Windows starting, try pushing the F8 key several times until you get the Windows boot options. Then try 'last known good configuration".
If that doesn't work, you can boot from the Windows installation disk and try to repair your Windows installation.Let me know what happens.
And good or bad, please rate my post?

Windows can't open files with .PPV file extension?
If Windows is unable to open files of PPV file type, you may not have the appropriate program installed or, you may have file extension related windows registry errors. To help, we strongly recommend you to run this (new version 2010).

HOW TO REMOVE THE ROOTKIT.TDSS

Hi, You have to remove these to get rid of this Rootkit. This post is for an Advanced User Only!
Files and Processes:
  • Files which spread the Virus:
  • RkLYLyoM.exe, podmena.exe, file.exe, ~.exe, 7-v3av.exe, csrssc.exe (note that this is not CSRSS.EXE), 72631899.exe, 1776260179.exe, ucxmykkc.exe.
  • The above files will create processes and run while spreading the Virus and providing Backdoors to your machine as well as performing Remote Attacks on Servers.
  • This Rootkit and associated Trojan creates .sys (system files) to alter network configurations as well.
  • Delete these files.
  • _VOIDd.sys, _VOID[random].sys, UAC[random].sys, UACyylfjdaa.dll, TDSSnrsr.dll, TDSSmaxt.sys, tdssserf.dll, TDSSriqp.dll, TDSSciou.dll, TDSSoexh.dll, tdidrv2.sys, RkLYLyoM.exe, podmena.exe, tdssserv.sys, file.exe, ~.exe, 7-v3av.exe, csrssc.exe, 72631899.exe, 1776260179.exe, ucxmykkc.exe
  • Each variant of this is associated with one or more files in the above list. It drops .dll (dynamic link library files) as well. Dll files and Sys files are the actual performers in the background.
  • You have to remove these files from the startup as well. Using msconfig. From their you may be able to find additional files associated with this one as well. Verify by browsing. Browse by the file name. If you found that it is a virus, note the path and next time you will be able to remove it. I ll provide instructions at the bottom of this post.

  • Directories:
  • C:\WINDOWS\_VOID[random]\
  • Delete this as well.

  • Delete Registry values Associated with this.
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\_VOIDd.sys
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\_VOID[random]
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\UACd.sys
Note: Random means the file name will be different for each instance.
  • Unregistering DLL files. The most important one.
  • You have to unregister these .dll files.
  • UACyylfjdaa.dll, TDSSnrsr.dll, tdssserf.dll, TDSSriqp.dll, TDSSciou.dll, TDSSoexh.dll.
  • The unregistering instruction will be provided at the bottom of this post.
You must delete your Temporary internet Files and Local Settings \ Temp. Located - Root:\Documents and Settings\[Admin account name - this may be either Administrator or any other account which has Admin Rights]\Local Settings\Temp. Note: Root is the Partition which has Windows Installed (Example C drive)
You must be able to see Hidden Files and Folders. Follow the steps...
You must clean your Browser Cache using Internet Options. Each and every browser has a place to clear the Cache. As an example "Google Chrome has it under Options -> Under the Hood -> Clear Browsing Data. Its better if you can disable Local Caching.
I recommend to do this in Safemode. Use F8 after restarting the machine. The select Safemode. Note: You may or may not find Processes associated with this RK however because they will not be loaded. If so you can use msconfig to locate "Startup" programs.
After everything done, flush your DNS. Get a Command Prompt (Start -> Run -> Type cmd.exe and hit Enter) Type this command and hit Enter. ipconfig/ flushdns
Contd...Post is too long...
