Amps have fuses inside. Check them if they are blown. After replacing, if it keeps blowing, then you have a short that needs to be fixed. Good luck!

I have a crate vtx200s has very little volume everything else works whats the deal?
Hi, you hadnt mentioned how long you've had the amp, or how new it is, so I'm going to assume it's new to you. The Crate VTX200 has 3 channels, each with its own volume level. Let's check the simple things first:
1. Check to make sure you're adjusting the same volume knob volume knob to the same channel. The active channel will be lit with a green light.
2. Check the cables from the "Speaker Out" jacks on the amp (if you are using them). Are they plugged in all the way, or are they damaged?
3. Are you playing through a preset that you may have accidentally made "low", and may not be aware of or are stuck in it?
If none of these answers helps, there might be a problem with the input buffer in the circuit or possibly within the damping circuit of the speakers. I'd advise having the amp serviced to confirm an internal electrical problem also. If you don't have a manual for the amp, one can be found here:

How do I fix my crate b80xl
Without hearing it in action, it's hard to pinpoint a problem. It could be as simple as a dirty jack, or it could be components overheating, or something else entirly. I'd take it to the repair shop.

I have a Crate g120 cxl guitar amp. it is switching between channels on it's own. (no footswitch)
Hello Jamie.
Your right, it is not rocket science, this is way bigger and funnier!
Now, that you took apart the chasis fron the cabinet, you may try testing if the channel switching occurs when you hit the Printed Circuit board with some tool like the handle of a screwdriver. you can try with light hits and different places of the PCB while watching what happens in the front panel light. also you can try bending the PCB with your hand to see what happens, if the switching occurs, maybe you have a cracked solder on the pedal jack or in any component related to the switching circuit, in this case, you will have to pull out the pcb, and re-solder those points that can be cracked. Using a magnifiying glass is very helpful in looking for those cracked solders.
Good luck and best wishes.
