Audio not working on proscan ps61700

I have a GE 46 in TV that had the same occurrence. I believe it is a sign that the amplifier is overheated or stressed. The way I fixed mine was to unplug TV and leave off for a few minutes -then plug in. I discovered this by accident when the power went off one day and the sound returned (had been using my vcr audio output plugged into my stereo for weeks!) This fix will work for weeks-sometimes months-evidently resets the circuits inside the amp somehow. Last time this happened I also removed the back of TV and blew out the dust with compressed air while it was unplugged-still have sound 4 months later without a "reset"-so I'm guessing it did help .

When i turn it on it goes fft fft fft then shut off

When TV does not start, and sometimes you hear a clicking noise, that means that the TV is on protect mode.

Try first leaving the TV power cord unplugged for some times, let say one hour or so.

Also ensure that the fault is not coming from a faulty receiver box sending bad signal, check if you get same problem with no receiver box or dvd connected.

If that does not work, and you keep having a flashing led on front of the TV, and tv turning off by itself after a while, that indicates a fault condition.

The flashing light indicates a diagnostic state called protection.
When the TV goes on protection there are only two possible reasons.

1The internal circuits are jammed because of electrostatic charges accumulating on capacitors, or because of a wrong voltage read by the main chip on your monitor controller board. this started the protection circuit.

2 The protection circuit detected a wrong voltage or abroken contact, identified an internal fault and kicked in , startingthe flashing light.

If you are in situation one, then theTV will reset just unplugging power cord for one or two hours, sometimes even minutes.

If you are in situation 2 , then there is an internal fault.

Common faults that can occur are a blown capacitor on power board, a convergence IC has blown, or a fault on Digital board.

Check also the video cable or any external connection cable, if the cable is shorting, or the connector is bad, you can get same flashing state because of the video cable.

If under warranty contact the manufacturer ringing the number on the user manual

If you want to repair at your own expenses, just locate any good qualified repairer..

My Guide Plus does not work

Mine stopped mid-
December. I used the old reliable 99999 as my zip code, turned off the tv for an hour, turned it back on, entered my correct zip code and was patient. Today, the 15th of January, it popped back up. I have a feeling that it is all due to the switch over. I think different cable companies are setting things up and the gude was lost during that time. Maybe if you are patient, it will pop back up also.

Pro Scan doesn't power up

Pro Scan/RCA TV's (Pro Scan's are just glorified RCA's TV's) don't hold up very well (cheap components). You can try removing the back and checking the fuse/fuses (could be that simple), but if it's over 5 years old? You may be looking for a new TV soon.
You should find a fuse on the circuit board near where the power cord goes into the back.
I hope this helps, and Good Luck.

If it is a glass screen there is nothing you can do to it. First the tube is not available and second too costly if it was. Third the only chance is a used tube from a junked out tv at a repair shop and that will cost too but not as much. But seeing that it is a CTC 179 and assuming the long number is the serial number, it will be hard to find. If that is not the serial number then I'm sorry for I am completely wrong! If it is a lcd tv then the screen cost usually about three quarters the price of the set. Sorry about your problem. Hope this helps At this point I am assuming from deductions that it is a LCD.

My tv is blinking a blue light when I try to turn it on along with a popping sound.

It sounds like there may be an issue with the power supply or internal components of your Proscan PLDED5030A-RK TV. The blinking blue light and popping sound could indicate a malfunction that is preventing the TV from turning on properly.

Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

1. Unplug the TV from the power outlet and leave it unplugged for at least 10-15 minutes. This can help reset the internal components of the TV.

2. Check the power cord and connections to ensure they are secure and not damaged. If there are any visible signs of damage, such as frayed wires, replace the power cord.

3. Try plugging the TV into a different power outlet to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is with the power source.

4. If the issue continues, it may be necessary to contact a professional technician or the manufacturer for further assistance. They can diagnose the problem and recommend the appropriate repairs.

It's important to exercise caution when dealing with electronic devices, especially when there are signs of malfunction such as unusual sounds or lights. If you are unsure or uncomfortable with troubleshooting the issue yourself, it's best to seek help from a qualified professional.

I have a Proscan Elite tablet and DVD Combo. It has sound but no picture?

There is some troubleshooting in the link, but it is a budget unit that sells for around $90. If it has outlived its warranty, you just replace it. If it is within warranty, claim on it. They aren't really repairable. https://www.google.com/search?q=proscan+elite+tablet+and+dvd+combo+no+picture+only+sound ..

Does a proscan model PLED5544U have a reset button

The Proscan PLED5544U is a 55-inch LED TV. While it doesn't have a physical reset button, there are a few ways you can reset it:
  1. Unplug the TV: Unplugging the TV from the power outlet for a few minutes can help reset it. This allows any residual power to dissipate and can clear any minor software glitches.
  2. Use the remote control: Press and hold the power button on the remote control for at least 10 seconds. This can sometimes reset the TV.
  3. Use the menu: If you can access the TV's menu, you can try resetting it through the settings. Go to the "Settings" menu, then "System" or "General" settings. Look for an option to reset the TV to its factory settings.
If none of these steps work or if you're experiencing other issues with your TV, it may be best to contact the manufacturer or a qualified technician for assistance.
