How to program the TV to utilize cable channels
Go into the menu on your tv via built in button on the tv, or the remote. Look for something that reads "Program Mode" or "Program Channels"
Tv's have to search for channels that have a good solid frequency if they are just hooked up. newer tvs do it automatically
Cant use all cable channels
Go to SET UP TV, press yes for the following question. SET UP GUIDE PLUS. This will take you to another GUIDE PLUS SET UP SCREEN. Answer the questions as they appear. The important question is going to be. DO YOU HAVE CABLE? Answer yes to this questions. Answer the rest of the questions as they appear. Then go back to MAIN MENU, select channel, then select auto channel search. This will find all channels that are offered by your cable package.
Very Strange Audio Problems on Cable Channels; No prob w/VCR
Mike, before you decide to pony up the money for the hdtv take the thirteen inch set in and connect it to the same coax cable that is currently connected to the set with the audio issue. If you have clear audio the issue is definitely with the set. If not try replacing the coax connectors behind the wall plate, the barrel in the wall plate, and the coax from the wallplate to the tv. I am curious if the audio is clear when playing a DVD, VCR or Xbox? Hopefully we can isolate the problem. Thanks for using Fix Ya.
Proscan TV
Maybe, but I would first go into menu and look at audio settings and make sure speakers are on internal and not external or turn off.
Also just unplug for an hour and restart unit. Lastly, it may be cheaper to just attach a 100.00 surround sound system for audio.

No audio
Make sure that the sources have audio to begin with. Carefuly check all menus and setups.
Yes. It is possible that the audio circuits in the TV have a fault.

Tv won't recognize remote
It is possible that the remote is defective, or the remote sensing circuits, or the remote sensor in the TV set have failed. Start by trying another known working remote.
I have seen all possible combinations of this!

No sound
Go in to the menu for the sound setup. Make sure that the sound is not on MUTE, or SAP. Make sure that the speakers of the TV are in the ON mode, or any sound system that the set feeds is setup okay for the TV.
It is possible by coincidense that something in the audio section of the set has failed.
All of this has nothing to do with sitting on a remote control...!!!

Click, click, click and nothing else.
your set have gone into shutdown,it will try 3 time to correct itself then shut down you might all have different faults. call your local shop and ask for an est, cost to repair ,it may not be all that bad news. depending on your chassis type there different quick fixes to save money and time ,when you post your sets always say what chassis also./st
