Ligtning strike when i power on blue light flashes
Hi. The damage will , indeed, be sufficient in this case. The lightning strike, essentially, produced a pulse effect, which in return, caused a surge of current throughout the entire home wiring assembly. Normally the circuit breaker will open the circuit to prevent further damage to the home, but the initial surge will usually fry the main board in most newer LCD based Televisions. The main board will cost around 278 dollars. I would seriously consider purchasing a new unit.

Hi
Thanks for using Fixya. From what you have described it seems that the issue is with the swollen/bulged/leaky capacitors on the power supply board. You'll need to open the back off the TV and check for all these, also check the main board. I am sure there is nothing to do with the inverter and backlight, but the PCB also needs to be diagnosed properly. I’ll not recommend you to replace anything without checking it properly. You’ll need to check the receiver part of the unit and trace the video signal to a particular IC using an oscilloscope. All this is only recommended if you have electrical expertise and know how to solder/re-solder components, if not then it is always better to get in touch with a qualified repair tech.
Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.
Thanks
Rylee

When I turn the tv
Try this: disconnect the power going to the TV for at LEAST 30 minutes, then reconnect the power, turn on the TV, follow any on screen instructions. Sometimes this works and sometimes this doesn't, if this doesn't change anything then the TV will need to be serviced.
Good luck !

TV will not turn on, the green light on the
This fault is often reffered to in the trade as tripping...basically at startup the power supply starts to supply power and then shuts the tv down and this process continues...since this is an lcd with an external power supply i would suspect this to be faulty...on many of these compact power supply units the capacitors dry up swell/bulge and leak loosing capacity the hardest part may be opening up this power supply casing screws are often located underneath rubber footpads. look for bulging capacitors on output side of power supply be carefull not to make contact with primary reservoir on ac power side you will likely find it is a capacitor of +/- 2000uf rated at 12V..this is a common fault and often a repeat fault i have found this fault to be linked or provoked by bad and noisy ac supply where air conditioners drills power tools etc are plugged into the same wall socket outlets etc

Control module
You have to try to find it for sale in a broken television like yours or you can go to e-bay and craigs list and try to find the part. If you know the part number(usually listed on the board)try putting it into the webs search engines. You may have luck finding it. You can also look for yard sales that might have the same type of television for sale.I hope this information helps you with your problem.
