How do in reset pressure switch on hotpoint fdd914

My Hotpoint Ultima FDD914 has had the A5 error code appearing at the beginning of the wash cycle for over a year. The error has got worse, appearing again at the end and most recently half way through. My solution has been to repeatedly start the cycle and run a rinse wash at the end. Not very practical to the point hand washing dishes is the preferred option. But now the problem is fixed! The culprit is the pressure switch. I found video explaining how to change it. The video is called how to change a pressure switch on a dishwasher and is by yourspares. i had difficulty getting the side panel off the dishwasher. Two screws at front and two at back were fine but there was a sneaky one hidden behind the plastic front base plate. Only had to use a Philips screwdriver and a small flathead to prise the panel from the clips. And I didn't remove the panel completely, just pulled it up enough to find the switch under the insulation. I put the dishwasher on its side (unplugged from wall before starting) I removed the switch as shown in the video, detached it from the hose, blew into the hose and the switch (as suggested by someone) put it all back together and rather surprisingly the dishwasher now works! If the error returns I'll buy a new switch and replace it as shown in the video but for now it's goodbye to the dreaded A5 error.

Troubleshooting

Dispenser Lever

If the dispenser is broken and doesn't open or close properly the dispenser lever might need to be replaced.

Detergent Dispenser Cover

If the detergent dispenser cover is broken and the detergent dispenser doesn't work, the dispenser assembly should be replaced.

Wax Motor Actuator

If the dispenser will not release the detergent the actuator connected between the wax motor and the dispenser might be broken. Check the wax motor actuator and replace it if necessary. 6717a822-d7e1-4c2e-a0bd-87fdb1bce189.jpg

Dispenser Lid

If the dispenser is broken and doesn't open or close properly the dispenser lid may have to be replaced.

Detergent Dispenser

If the dishwasher dispenser doesn't work the problem is often related to the release mechanism. If the problem is with the dispenser itself, it may be easier to replace the entire dispenser.

Dispenser Door Spring

If the dispenser is broken and doesn't open during the wash cycle the dispenser door spring may have to be replaced.

Dispenser Latch

If the dispenser is broken and doesn't open or close properly the dispenser door latch may have to be replaced.

Dispenser Door Pin

If the dispenser is broken and doesn't open or close properly the dispenser door pin may have to be replaced.

Dispenser Actuator

If the dispenser is broken and doesn't open or close properly the dispenser actuator may have to be replaced.

Dispenser

If the dispenser is broken and doesn't open or close properly the entire dispenser assembly may have to be replaced.

Wax Motor

There is an electrically powered device called a wax motor which opens the detergent dispenser. If the dispenser is broken and will not open to release the detergent, the wax motor might need to be replaced.

Bi-Metal

If the dishwasher dispenser doesn't work the bi-metal actuator might be burned out or defective. The bi-metal is a simple metal loop which acts as a latch for the dispenser door. As electricity is applied to the metal loop, the loop deforms and bends away from the latch, releasing it. If the bi-metal is burned out it won't deform or release the detergent door.

Dispenser Slide

If the dispenser is broken and doesn't open or close properly the dispenser slide may need to be replaced.

Dispenser Repair Kit

If the dispenser is broken this dispenser kit may need to be replaced.

Main Control Board

The main control board provides power to nearly every component of the dishwasher including the detergent dispenser. If the dispenser will not actuate the main control board might be defective. You should first check for more common parts. Many times control boards are replaced unnecessarily because the problem was not diagnosed properly. Gd bless you

Fdd914 dishwasher error code

Hi, the interpretation for error code A10 is: A10 = fill solenoid valve triac closed/open circuit - check valve/ operation - machine drains until level switch resets + 30"

Now, to try and solve the problem yourself: Turn off the water supply to the dishwasher & remove the hose, Run the machine for several minutes in a normal position. Turn the machine off, reconnect the fill hose, turn the water back on then turn the machine back on.

If this doesn't solve the problem, then you'll need to call a service person.

DIO3T131FEUK Integrated dishwasher has power but won't switch on

Check Power Supply: First, ensure that the dishwasher is properly plugged into an outlet. Sometimes vibrations or nearby appliances can cause it to come unplugged. If it's plugged in, test the outlet by connecting a small appliance (like a toaster or blender) to see if it turns on. If it does, move on to the next step. Check Circuit Breaker: Verify if a circuit breaker has tripped. Go to your circuit breaker box and look for any tripped breakers. If you find one, flip it to the "off" position and then back to the "on" position. Test the dishwasher again to see if it powers on. Child Lock or Delayed Start: Some dishwashers have a child-lock feature that prevents accidental starts or changes to the wash cycle. Check your owner's manual for instructions on disabling the child lock or delayed-start features. Ensure that the dishwasher door is securely latched. Reset the Dishwasher: If the dishwasher has power but won't start, it might be stuck between cycles. Allow any drain cycle to run (if applicable), wait for 60 to 90 seconds, and then press the start button once. Unplug the dishwasher for a minute or two, then plug it back in. This can help reset the machine. Refer to the owner's manual for any specific reset procedures. If none of these steps resolve the issue, consider reaching out to professional repair services or the manufacturer for further assistance.

Karcher Puzzi 100 Spray pressure low

troubleshoot the issue: Spray Nozzle Blockage: Ensure that the spray nozzle is clear and not blocked. Sometimes debris or buildup can obstruct the nozzle, affecting the spray performance. Pump Coil and Circuit Board: The pump coil could be damaged or broken. If it's faulty, the pump won't spray at all. You can check continuity through the coil and verify that the switch is supplying power to the circuit board and, in turn, to the pump. Dry solder joints or a failed smoothing capacitor on the circuit board can also cause issues. Pumps are relatively simple solenoid plunger types, and replacements are available for around £40-£50. If you're not comfortable testing at mains voltages, seek professional assistance. Calcium Buildup and Blockages: Some pumps can be dismantled, allowing you to remove any calcium buildup or blockages. Gently tapping or shaking the pump might get it going. Recirculating a descaler can also help clear buildup without disassembly. Pump Replacement: If the pump is indeed faulty, consider replacing it with a new one. It's advisable to change the circuit board (PCB) as well. If you're unsure about electrical testing, consult an expert. Remember to follow safety precautions when dealing with electrical components. If you're not experienced, seek professional help to avoid any risks. Good luck with resolving the issue! For reference, the Karcher Puzzi 100 is designed for gentle and effective cleaning of small to medium surfaces, especially carpets and upholstery2. Its spray pressure is around 1 bar, and the spray rate is approximately 0.26 gallons per minute. If you need further assistance, consider referring to the Karcher Puzzi 100 user manual.

What year is this Kenmore dishwasher Model # 665.15831791 made?

The date of manufacture is determined by the SERIAL NUMBER on the appliance. This dishwasher was manufactured by Whirlpool. The following link explains how to determine when it was manufactured:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3576437-determining_the_age_of_your_whirlpool_ap

The serial number is usually located somewhere around the door opening. The first two numbers in the serial number identify the WEEK it was manufactured (52 weeks in a year). The second DIGIT in the serial represents the YEAR it was manufactured.

If you have difficulty determining the manufacture date, please post back with your serial number and I will assist you. I hope you find this information helpful.

In my dishwasher there is foam all the time even without washing gel in the machine? I tried to start washing many times without dishes or gel but still have foam at the end of washing?

The most likely reason is that you have badly routed or partially blocked drain. Or the pump is not working as well as it should. Make sure the filters are clean. There is the main one that you can see, but there is a very fine filter under it and that one blocks with lint, which can reduce the flow by as much as 75%. ..
