Have you checked the fuse on the amp and/or make sure the amp did not burn out?

Ive had a similar problem with my sundowns try wiring your remote start wire to a blue wire behind your stereo

It has two speaker terminals which allows you to wire muliple subs to the amp easier than trying to cram the wires all into one set of terminals. The two sets of terminals are wire in parallel internally on the amp, so it matters no which + or - you use on it. However, you need to remember they are already wired in parallel internally, so if you were to wire up two 2 ohm subs, the amp would see a 1 ohm load (which it's not stable at), not a 2 ohm.

There is no chance that the thermal protection burned up and the unit still works. The thing you need to find out is why it did that. Check the speakers and the wires for shorts and proper impedence.

There should be a live feed to the radio when the ignition is off.....this allows the radio to save stations! Check there is a constant live feed to your radio!

It is hard to fix factory radios. Most times the only way to fix it is to buy a new one.

Sounds like Ignition system interference...Does whinning sound correspond with the accelerator? Make sure ground is isolated....and power is seperate from other circuits. ( ie; straight to battery with an in line fuse installed in it.)

I would first need to know what the impedance level is for that sup. You may be able to hook this in mono or in stereo. But you definitely do not want to connect it up to the amplifier where as to cause damage.

where do you live

amp is clearly overheating. you are over-driving the amp. you can, cool the amp better, turn the volume down, and/or check the the speaker configuration you are using is appropriate for the amp you're using.
