What exactly do you see on your TV screen? What are you trying to do?

Roku only supports 720P and 1080P along with the Standard Definition. If your TV only supports 720i, then the Roku won't be able to display 720i but instead 480i which is the standard display that Roku can do on a TV that doesn't support 720p or 1080p

I connected my roku player but I can not enter the language. It is like it doesn't recognize the remote control. The light is on the roku player. I even reset it but it still does not work.

Roku does not recommended turning off the unit (allowing it to receive updates, etc.) You could unplug it, but any updates would need to be installed before you could use it again. I think I would just leave it plugged in.
