use the blue/white wire (amplifier remote turn on) instead of the blue wire (power antenna remote turn on) to turn your amp on. the power antenna wire shuts off when leaving tuner mode.

I had the same problem. We had connected the power antenna lead (blue wire on Sony harness) instead of the amp on lead (blue/white on Sony harness). Check that all your connections are correct.
