Unrar the download (i use winzip) 2.) Copy the $SystemUpdate folder to the root of a pc formatted USB Stick (The memory stick must be FAT or Fat32 formatted) 3.)With that extracted folder now on your USB, Insert the USB Stick into your Xbox 360 console. 4.) You will be automatically prompted to update with a USB stick. Power down the 360 and power it on again. You should be ask to update before the 360 boots to the dashboard.Click yes and wait for it to install then shut down. 5.) Once the update is complete your Xbox 360 will restart then boot up to the new dashboard.

that message can mean two things to consider.(1) If you trying to play a backup(copy) of the game and your box is not flashed then it will show that (2) if you only using original games then it can mean either your disc is damaged ,has a few scratches on it therefore the laser cannot read the data properly. it could also mean that your laser is dying .this happens when you get into the habit of playing scratched media .it shortens the life of your laser. in the case where you trying to play a copied disc,then it is either a cheap media disc or scratched or incorrectly burned.use image burn and make an iso of the game and burn it at no faster than 4 speed.

If its with just that check the disk and look for big scratches if not a lot try clearing your cache but if its with a lot of your games its your laser in the disk tray
