This happened to me also. I checked with the store I bought it from and they said "the death ring" is caused by not placing the X-Box 360 horizontally. Evidentally the compression springs that hold the disc in place are not strong like WI and PlayStation for vertical operation.

Just be gentle with the disc, keep it in the case or the console and don't leave it out too often. I don't think this is a normal issue though. If your xbox is causing the issue with other games too make sure you get it checked out. I wouldn't want you to ruin these expensive games.

There are glass polishing solutions you can buy at stores like Lowe's and The Home Depot. They will also take out scratches on plastics. Offhand I don't have a name to give you but you can just ask about them.

Try going to download it again. XboxLive/ PSN can tell you already bought it so it wont charge you again, but it WILL download everything. Problem solved

Check the inside ring of the disc, is there any cracking? If so the only real solution is to buy another disk but to be sure it's not the system try another black ops disc in your system.

well what keeps happening and its happened with a lot of disks they have used a piece of trash eco friendly xbox 360 game case that will crack your disk if you put it into the case. Its happened to me my friends and aquaintences. My recommendation is that you get an older case and use it instead of the cheap eco friendly ones. By the way you could also install someone else's copy onto your hard drive and just keep using your cracked disk.

That was probably the straw that broke the camels back, all the other cracks and scratches were fine, but that last one tiny scratch it got from handling it pushed it over the edge.

I believe the zombie map token code was a one-time download for the game. If he's entered it into his Uncle's xbox, and was logged on with his uncle's account, then now is uncle is, in the eyes of Xbox Live, the owner of the zombie maps.
The only way to get a new code is to buy a new copy of the game. The non-special edition retails for less than 140 (mercifully). Perhaps your grandson and his uncle can work some deal out -- if the uncle wishes to play CoD, he could perhaps buy your grandson's copy off him, and your grandson could then buy a new copy of CoD, and activate the zombie pack on his own console?

It sounds like your internet provider/router isn't giving you a whole lot of bandwidth to work with. That simply means your internet isn't giving you enough space to actually play call of duty. Your zombie game is probably playing alright because only four people need to connect to each other. That doesn't require a lot of space and memory of internet to do. However multiplayer demands a lot more bandwidth from your router. That might be why you aren't connecting. This could be for a number of reasons.
  • Other people in your household are using the internet too, be it laptops, smart phones, printers, other gaming counsels, etc. Simply turn off these devices to receive more bandwidth for your xbox.
  • Your router is a little too older for video games. If you are using a wireless router for your xbox, try plugging it directly to the wall or router.

Did he boost or cheat in anyway? Did he do any glitches such as golden gun glitch or any new glitch that might be out? If so then theres are reasons for being reset or banned.

are you sure your nat is open, because it sounds like a network problem, other thing you can do is installing black ops on xbox hdd if you have one, it will make things quicker. Also if you switch firewall off on ypur modem/router that might help.

To get better points for kills... try using your pistol and shoot the legs a few times, then using a better gun, shoot its head off. Wait for them to get closer for better accurate shots. When a zombie is at a window wait a while for it to break a few boards, and then kill it and repair. Get 700p first, then by an m1a1 carbine in room 1. To last longer... only open the door in room 1 that has the word help scribbled on it, it has a Thompson, double barrel shotgun, 2 windows, 1 wall that they can break and a mystery box (the reason for the room, costs 950p to open, containing most of the weapons and a really cool ray gun, 1 shot kill but slow travel time) this is simple maths... the
less windows the less flanking opportunities for the zombies who get more and more intelligent. Unlock the stairs in room 1, buy the trench gun and a BAR, sit in the corner where grenades are available, through them when there's a load of them, when you run out just turn and buy some more, camp basicaly.

did you make sure you were not in the practice session online, If u did just get online with xbox live did you test it with other games and check for 360 updates (i have heard of them not being automatic updates which is to say you would have to check manually)
