Rotel RX-950AX Receiver Questions & Answers
Intermittent flickering of lights and switching of input
Stab in the dark here, but I don't see any screws in the main board in the left rear viewed from the front. I have a dead one here. Standby light only. I'm guessing relay unless I am looking in the wrong place for the missing *****. Please advise.
Rotel Receiver RX-950 AX popped and then quit
there would be life in the old girl it just depends how much you love her and how much you are willing to spend to get her fixed ?? some old rotels are still fetching good money so it might be worthwhile getting a quote
I need the code
The URC database should have codes for that unit. The software for programming the MX-900 has it. Which remote are you trying to program?
Blown channel
You cannot fix the receiver unless you are a technician with the proper tools and circuit diagrams. I would think it worth the cost of repair though.
Good Luck

ROTEL RCD-951 TM can not open tray.
Hello Ruben, so you do not open the CD holder tray of your Rotel, the problem is that the belt that transmits the rotation of the engine to the mechanism of the car, may be stretched and therefore the car does not open, this is the most common fault in this type of CD players
You should replace it, if you can not do it, look for a specialized technical service
I hope you can solve the problem
Greetings Franco Dosil

I have a rotel amp model no is ra-313
I'm guessing you don't know for sure that it even needs fuses. They don't go out like they used to, as everything is controlled by a microprocessor(computer within your unit). I would suggest, that you, with the power plug pulled out, use an ohm meter to be sure that each fuse is shorted. If you need further assistance, or would like to inquire about a repair, please visit my website at audioserviceclinic.com. Thank you.
Sound from only one channel
Turn off the other channel and listen only to the bad channel playing some music. Turn it up! If you hear any music the pre-amp is working and the power amp is faulty. If you don't, then the pre-amp is faulty. Because it's a stereo amp you have the good channel to compare with the bad. So you can do voltage tests, or "buzz" tests. Buzz Tests or where you apply a insulated tool to the circuits, a buzz will be heard. If it buzzers in the good channel it should in the bad. Ignore the power supply and don't short any parts out!
