To connect the Teac micro hi-fi system to wall power or any other issue, I will suggest you go through the manual. The manual is also available online on audio.teach site; you can download it in pdf format.
Hello,
If you need proper instructions on "how to use TEAC DCD718", I will suggest you download the manual available on audio.teac site. You can download it in pdf format, go through it to have a better understanding.
Try filling out this form at TEAC's support page. Only the factory would have access to that manual. It shouldn't be available anywhere else. I know only the Owners Manuals are more typically available.

Hi Carol, from what you said, you could make the tape move
On the front of your Teac A103, there are two Instruments, called VUmeters, ask, when you play the tape, do the needles of these vumeters move indicating the presence of sound?
If they move, it would indicate that the tape is being read
If they do not, it may be that you are playing a tape without recording or that the reading head is dirty, with accumulation of debris from the cassette tapes
To clean them, you should use a thin cotton cloth, wet with a little alcohol, open the cassette door and pass it through the upper end of the heads, until they are clean, the head, which reproduces and records the cassettes is the that is in the middle
If all this is done, you get the vumeters to move and nothing comes out, you can try a pair of headphones and connect them to the output on the right
if you hear sounds, check the RCA cables for interconnection with the amplifier
Do the tests I suggest and comment
Indicate to which device you are connecting the cassette output to play
I await your comment

Espero tu comentario

You can but be shure to measure the voltage that is required by the two units, also check that the polarities are the same. The current consumption should be fairly the same
Hi Sonya, ask, is your CD player Teac or Yamaha?
From what you say, your Compactera is in repeat 1 mode, which tells you that it will repeat the same disc or song
look for the REPEAT button on the front of your CD player and press it until the REP indication on the display disappears
If it is a Yamaha CDC635, I send you the link of the user manual
I hope you can hear all the songs

Hi Rick, in order to connect your DVD player to your Teac, the DVD player, you must have audio outputs with RCA Red and White (L and R) connectors and enter it into the Auxiliary input of your Teac, or other input available
Discuss which brand and model is your DVD player, to find the best possible solution
I await your comment
Greetings Franco Dosil

Hello and Welcome to FixYa!
This means that your DVD Player is not a region free player, the DVD's you are trying to play are locked to some specific region.
I hope you will have a clearer picture now.
