Wobbly screen image

Are you connected to a PC (DIGITAL SIGNAL)or a video source?
If you are getting a jumpy screen from a digital source like a LATTOP/PC you many be feeding a signal that's not equal to the resolution of the projector itself.l There is circuitry in the projector to attempt to convert the resolution of the picture received into the screen resolution. It's an imperfect process, especially if you have a higher screen resolution going in than the 1024 x 768 native resolution of thie LX-1.
What you need to do is set the video output of the computer to that resolution.
The original LX-1 Infocus units had a less capable resolution resolving circuit than their later units.
In a portable, it's possible to setup two resolutions - one for the Laptops own screen resolution and another for the auxilliary (external) resolution of a secondary display or a projector attached there. Modern Laptops usually have a resolution of 1400 x 800 pixels or higher (mine are 1920x 1200), The LX1 can not handle that resolution well at all. If you set the external output to something slightly higher like 1200x800 it will handle it better, but you still will have problems, especially on the older units from Norway.

(I seem to remember some control over phasing in the LX-1 setup, too. but this might be more applicable to a video input rather than a digital one.)

Image looks like it has graph paper in the background

If it looks like a VERY tiny grid then that's an effect called "screen door." It tends to mainly plague LCD-type projectors and is a bit evident with DLP-type projectors. Unfortunately there is no fix for this issue.

Proxima LX1 does not power on. Is there a fuse

the only fuse is on the power supply, but you'll have to remove the top cover to get to it. but chances are, the power supply itself is bad.

InFocus X9 DLP Projector. The remote does not connect to the projector.

Question edited for clarity. This doesn't appear to be a known issue, so my view is that the remote has just failed. Try the smartphone forward facing camera trick to see if the remote is producing an output signal. https://www.google.com/search?q=infocus+x9+remote+not+connecting ..

Infocus in2124/in2126 projector keeps turning itself on. When it does you can't turn it off with the remote. What could cause this?

There are a few possible causes for a projector like the Infocus IN2124/IN2126 turning itself on and not being able to be turned off with the remote: 1. Remote control issues: Firstly, it's worth checking the remote control itself. Ensure that the batteries are fresh and properly inserted. Try replacing the batteries or using a different remote control to see if the issue persists. 2. Signal interference: Sometimes, external factors can interfere with the projector's remote control signal. Check if there are any sources of interference nearby, such as other electronic devices or strong light sources. Move these items away from the projector to see if it resolves the problem. 3. Faulty power button or control board: It's possible that the power button on the projector or the control board itself is malfunctioning. If the power button is not responding when pressed, it could indicate a hardware issue. In such cases, contacting Infocus customer support or a professional technician for further assistance or repairs may be necessary. 4. Firmware or software issue: Occasionally, a software or firmware glitch can cause unexpected behavior in electronic devices. Check if there are any firmware updates available for your projector model on the Infocus website. Updating the firmware can potentially resolve any known issues and improve overall performance. 5. Power supply issues: In some cases, fluctuations or problems with the power supply can cause erratic behavior in electronic devices. Ensure that the projector is connected to a stable and properly grounded power source. Consider trying a different power outlet or using a voltage stabilizer to rule out any power-related issues. If the issue persists after trying these steps, it is recommended to reach out to Infocus customer support or consult a professional technician with expertise in projector repairs. They will be able to provide more specific guidance and troubleshooting steps based on your particular projector model.

I have an Infocus G300-ww

In the Infocus IN1 G300-WW projector the problem won't turn on, is not with the lamp or configuration, it is the Power button that internally breaks a plastic tab and does not make contact at the ignition point, you just have to disassemble the upper plastic, look for the plastic part of the Power and put glue on it so that it is the same as the other volume and light contacts. The projector is reassembled, it is connected and the Power is pressed, so it should turn on and give the image.

I have an IN104 InFocus projector. the whole unit cuts off without warning or any indicator lights, messages or whatnot. Says there's only 118hrs on bulb

Check the caps on the power board inside the unit. You probably need to recap it. I had that problem on one of the smaller projectors.
