Most of the time on these old zeniths you could just channel down and it would go to aux otherwise you just need to change the source with the remote.

Inside of tv there is a focus knob that you can adjust on circuit board on bottom inside .

It may need a focus adjustment or the CRT socket needs to be replaced. Look in from the inside for this parts.

I feel your frustration! Most all tv's share similar features,but
access varies with mfr & age.Some sets have an individual channel add and erase system as well as an auto-program
method.Others offer only one way to memorize.In your case,
analyze how to erase channels and thus learn to memorize!

Open main menu and select manual program. In this option check skip on/off option is there. Otherwise select autoprogram the channels are automatically stored, after completing autoprogram TV displays program edit option. In that you can choose your needs.
