My xperia x8 won't start up
Hello,the problem is as a result of software corruption. Your
phone operating system is corrupt for one reason or the other. The phone
operating system might have gotten virus through bluetooth transfer,
internet browsing or via the memory card.To solve the problem,
you need to flash the phone . Flashing the phone means reinstalling the
phones operating system software files. The phone will be fully
formatted and a fresh operating system files will be reinstalled.You
can use software updater to flash the phone. Download software updater
from sonyerricon.com. Install it on your computer, open the software
updater, connect the phone via usb cable to your computer. Allow the
computer to recognize the phone, then click update. Follow all direction
from the software updater application. And your computer must be

hi, i had this same problem with my x10 m p when i got it, if you connect to your home wirless with the phone this should work and allow you to start downloading (note: after the first 3 downloads it should work without wifi connection and do it on 3g), if this doesnt work go to: settings: applications: manage applications: market: clear cache. then hopefully it should start letting you download some apps

How to hard reset the Sony Ericsson Xperia X8
First, try this:
- From the main home screen, tap menu
- Tap Settings, then Privacy
- Tap Factory data reset
- Tap Reset phone
- Enter your password if required, then tap Erase everything to confirm
If that doesn't work, or if your phone is frozen:
- Turn the power off. If your Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is frozen, pull the battery out and reinsert it
- Hold the Left and right buttons located beneath the display
- Press and release the Power button
- Follow the on-screen instructions to hard reset your Xperia X10
All data including third-party applications will be deleted from the
Sony Ericsson Xperia X8. Once the wipe is complete, the phone will
reboot to its factory fresh state.
