Bose LifeStyle 50 System Questions & Answers
Remote shows no response
I have just had a major problem trying to get the handheld (touch screen) music centre to communicate with the multi room interface. It took over a week to sort out by trial and error, but here is the solution :
1. Disconnect everything from the multi room interface apart from Room A and the CD player (blue connector).
2. Turn off the electricity supply at the wall (turning off any in line extension lead is not good enough - it needs to be at the wall socket). Leave turned off for at least 2/3 hours.
3. Turn back on and then leave it again for 2/3 hours.
4. Touch the music centre and you should find that it has now registered with the interface unit.
5. Connect the other rooms and input sources with the power switched on (contrary to instruction manual which advises you connect everything before powering up).
6. Test each input systematically as you connect them.
Hope this helps. I was on the verge of buying another multi room interface (I have 2 music centres and neither worked so assumed in was the interface at fault), at a cost of £200, so now glad I persevered with resetting the system !
