Hi,

Try unplugging power to the unit for 60 minutes, then plug back in and try again. This will reset the unit's microprocessor and hopefully clear the fault.Sometimes, it could take 2 or 3 try's.

If this still doesn't work, you will need to remove the screws keeping the cover on the unit and remove the cover to access the disc.There is no other way.

2 possible causes:
1 - if the problem is encountered in all disks, whatever their origin and whatever their type then the sensor doesn't receives a correct laser signal from the disk because the lens is covered in dust - clean it using one of those special cleaning disks. If this doesn't fix it then the dust has been baked in the plastic of the lens and in that case the entire mechanism will have to be replaced - reading heads aren't available as parts - and that will be very expensive and hard to find out.
2 - The processor of the central unit is no longer capable of decoding the signal coming from the laser head. In that case the unit is dead - the only way to fix it would mean that the entire mainboard would have to be replaced and that would cost as much (or even more) than a brand new unit.

If you're trying to control the Cable Box on a multi-function remote, you need to push CABLE first. Push TV for TV-specific commands, etc.

If the problem still persists, you need to send the unit for repair. To be honest, i would hesitate to get the unit repaired at a local shop.It is not easy to repair Bose. Had this been a different manufacturer, i would have able to advise you to seek a local repair shop or do it yourself. These units are complex and there is a need of service manuals. Moreover, it is not easy to repair these. Even if you find a local repair shop. i doubt if they would charge you less than what Bose quoted you for repair.

Inside the settings there is an option for video output, you may have switched it by accident. If you can still see the menu enough go into settings. I would try first: Video > Video Connector > Component/Composite and switch between the two. Otherwise try the NTSC or PAL settings. GOOD LUCK!

What is the Panasonic plasma tv code for bose remore control?

the dvd system is built around a pc style dvd rom drive. You can remove the top cover by prying the back center up and sliding the cover back then off. Remove the metal bracket that holds the drive in place and then remove the drive. the front tray cover should pop off as you remove the drive. There is a eject hole in the front that if you put a paper clip into it will release the tray. That way you can get your dvd back. I refurbish these drives and I may have one for sale. Test the faulty speaker in the speaker socket that works on the main unit. If it works then the problem is within the unit and not the speaker.
It may be a dry solder joint or loose connection causing the problem.
If using the faulty speaker in both speaker sockets has no results, the problem lies within the speaker.
If you are able to dissamble the speaker to test the continuity, the abilty for current to pass from the speaker wires to the speaker itself, this will tell you if your speaker is faulty.

the same thing happened to me!

Disconnect the speakers and test. If the amp locks on there is short in the speakers. If not the Amplifier has some errors.
Possible that the output of the audio amplifier is short.
You will need to confirm by checking for the shorted output and removing off the power connection to the section to get the protect released.

hi it depends on what the inputs are on the device if you have the 3 color sockets then this will work in the uk with our equipment, if the bose system picks up its own signal such as tv channels then it wont work but if its just a device for putting inputs in from devices such as tv's, game consoles and stereo etc then you will have no problem using it in the uk, you may need to get an adaptot though as our voltage is 240volts so you will need to see if your device works at this higher voltage usually they are universal but it may be worth just asking in your local tv repair shop it it is compatable it should be but it wont cost you a penny to ask your local tv repair shop

it should tell you on the back if it take more than one volt input so have a look and see what it says, the inputs should be the same as uk but double check the voltage.

You can either use a paperclip and stick it in the middle of the tray door, then pull it open, remove dvd, pull tray back slowly as far as it will go, then press eject and see if it realigns itself back on track.

Otherwise, remove the cover and pull the dvd out that way.

You have to have the remote to set the time. on the remote you will see a button for time. just hold it down and the time will scroll.

replace the fuses

The only thing I that may not match is the power supply which I guess is 220VAC in India. Other than that I don't see any problem that arise from using it in your country.

I just had the reverse trouble, the people were all blue. What happened is that two of the composite jacks were reversed. Check to make sure a cable is not unplugged, and that they are all in their right spots.
