Bose 701 Main / Stereo Speaker Questions & Answers
Does bose 701 series ii have a fuse for power
Fuses are used to control the inflow and outflow of electrical current. They are mainly used in speakers in order to protect them from being blown out. This is why there is a specific number of ohms on the instructions that it can handle. I'm sure there is somewhere. There are fuses in all high quality speaker systems. You'd just have to open the back up in order to find it.
5.1 Home Theatre - PC
Its due to 2.1 channel sound input from your PC. Your Laptop supports only 2.1 channel sound so all the 5 speakers cant be played at a time! You need 5.1 channel input to work all 5 speakers
Bose wave radio doesn't turn on with the remote but one time in 20 to30 times pushing the power button.
You can check with new battery in the remote. Next you point a digital camera, a smartphone should do fine, at the infra red transmitter on the front of the remote and then look on the camera screen if you see the ir light flash different pulses for each button. Infra red light can not be seen but a digital camera shows it really well. Confirm this with another remote. Now you know if the remote functions right. Remotes are available on-line or one can use a universal type remote. The IR receiver is often welded onto the circuit board. This means that it is not right behind the front panel window. It can be obstructed, perhaps by dust or displaced. This is generally speaking.
