How do I take out
Pull back on the black horse shoe shaped hammer yoke and pull the P/W out.

Light is blinking for both
You probably have a bad keyboard, you can try my yip under WW1000 or contact Geo. Beters Co. @800-392-8085 for a KB rebuild.

The correction cassette snaps on to the bottom of the ribbon cartridge and they both go in together. You can go to (best to copy and paste this)

There is a blue lever that locks the ribbon in. Release it and lift the ribbon out.

Our Lexmark 1000 typewriter is not printing in the
Make sure the platen (roller) is pushed down all the way. It must lock.
Also, see if the ribbon is feeding properly, characters should be evenly spaced on the ribbon. Other possible causes ..solenoid pad or selection plate, neither of which you can do yourself.

The striker appears not to strike the Daisy wheel
Please check the ink ribbon. There are two types of ribbons. The plastic one can be used once and if you try it the second time then there is no guarantee that all letters will appear fine and legible. (as may be happening in your case). The other is the cloth ribbon. This can be reused and it keeps fading as you keep repeating it. But in this case all letters are faded and nor selective.

Typewriter has been dropped. carriage will not
Drppping is not a cood thing. That said the carrier (print head) may be disloged from the guide over the silver shaft nearest the front of thr T/W or the case may be broken and inter- fering with the printer. If it is disloged you should be able to pop it back into place when in the center.

I do not have the
The WW1000 dosen't have an addressable memory. It has reprint which will only print what you have just typed.
Go to lexmark.com, click on support, poke around there and you'll find a manual there.
