In many instances this problem is caused by a bad driver board,and LEDs, or possibly a faulty T-Con board in the TV. It might also be a problem with bulging capacitors or either a loose cable or ribbon connector. You will have to take the TV apart and diagnose the problem.

probably backlight issue try shining a bright torch onto the screen up close . if you can see images then you have one or more LEDs blown . as they are in series non of them will work until the defected LEDs are replaced

Never heard of that issue before. Repair issues are a problem. That sounds like a component on one of the boards is heating up, failing, cooling a bit and then cycling again.
