I bought a Bush digtal/ AM/ FM radio ("retro transistor" style). DAB reception dropouts lasting several seconds each time have started occurring recently. AM/ FM is ok.

Constant usage of DAB should not cause it any damage ever. The dropouts are very characteristic of a poor signal reaching the DAB tuner, as digital is either there, or not there, nothing in between. Check the aerial connection if any, the rod antenna if any, and try moving the antenna (whatever it is) to a better location, usually higher up, away from thick walls, and away from speakers if any.

The radio says safe

To reset from SAFE leave SWITCHED ON...UNDISTURBED until it has automatically reset itself. This could take several hours.

For a code, quote the MAKE+MODEL of radio plus ALL the LETTERS+NUMBERS on any LABELS,BARCODES or STAMPED IN THE METAL CASING
