Nikon D3100 Digital Camera - Page 8 Questions & Answers
I can't transfer photos from my camera to the computer.
Plug your usb cable to your computer. Go to the start button and click my computer. Then find the file of you camera (removable (letter)maybe the name of camera) and click on it. There may be a flolder on the file. Open the folder until you find the pictures. Copy them and save them to another folder. Then unplug your camera. Plug in your new camera and follow the same steps, but copy the folder and put it in the new cameras file. I had to do the same thing when my camera got smashed by a car seat and I had to get a new one. Hope it works out for you!
I have a D3100 and I don't know how to date stamp my pictures
The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.
I have a brand new
The solution to your problem is simple, Kathrynbax. The battery never comes in fully charged. It's always charged only so you may be able to check if your camera is working. I suggest, you take out your battery and put it to charge for exactly 90 minutes as the manual says. Then I'm sure you won't face any such problems. Hope this solves your problem. Good day! Rebel
I am unable to trasfer edited photos from my Nikon D3100 camera to computer
Remove the SD memory card from the camera and insert the SD memory into an USB memory card reader. Plug the memory card reader into the USB port of your computer, the computer will see this as an external storage device, you can then open the image folder and copy the photos from this folder to your computer.
Nikon d3100 taking blank images
The problem could be the imaging sensor in the lens housing, this will require a camera technician to find the extent of repair that is needed.
Dropped my Nikon d3100 now pictures are coming out black is that because there is damage to the lens or the camera itself? Can it be fixed?
Yes and probably. There apparently is damage to either the lens or the camera, most likely the camera. Though without being able to see any pictures damage to the lens is also possible. If you can't see the menu when you press the MENU button then the damage may be restricted to the LCD screen. If the photos are black when viewed on a computer then the damage may involve the sensor. Without having an authorized Nikon repair shop take a look at it, it's impossible to know just what is damaged. And without knowing that, it's impossible to tell whether it can be fixed, and how much it would cost.
Trying to get pictures from my camera to my iPad how do I do it ?????
You can connect your camera to your Ipad using the cable that came with it when you purchased it. You might have to download the software fot the Ipad to recognize the camera first. You didn't mention the name or model number or I would have sent you a link to download it. Sometimes you dont need the software or the pc your connecting to automatically locates it. Try connecting your camera with the cord and see what happens.
