No sound when playing dvd
I find modern scart plugs to be pretty hopeless sometimes - I've solved the "no sound" issue by SLIGHTLY bending the pins - worth a try.
Dvd plays but video shakes
There are so many video resolution and frame-rate modes these days that the sad reality is that some TVs are simply incompatible with some DVD/VCR equipment. Very irritating. Having said that, I would try fiddling with the settings to find a fix - but you have possibly tried all that, considering that you posted it here on FIXYA.
Lost remote & manual
You may view/download the manual
here. I don't see a replacement for the original remote, but you should be able to program a universal remote to work with the unit.

NEED CODE NUMBERS FOR UNIVERSAL REMOTE
Check these codes.0456
[0458 0227] [0899 0236]
Where the code is listed as [### ###] the first is for the TV and the second is for the VCR/DVD. Otherwise just the one code operates both the TV and the VCR/DVD.
Disk error with all new DVDs ???
Have you tried to clean the lazer? Or did you buy the player or DVD's in seperate parts of the country or even another country? If so, there may be a discrepancy between area codes. Don't ask me how to correct that one.
The cst in light keeps blinking how to turn it off
Hello
I managed to find a PDF manual for your VCR Combo, However i couldnt find anything to indicate a reason for the Cst in light flashing. I did find however find that the TIMER REC Light flashes if T-SET is pressed for a timer recording, but there is no tape in the DVD/VCR. It also flashes when all timer recordings or One-Touch Recordings are finished. So possibly this could be the light you see flashing.
The PDF can be found

Hello
Either your DVD players Laser Pickup Unit or its loading belt have faulty. First replace the loading belt. It can be located left front inner side of the DVD mechanism, and can be accessable from outside when tray is opened. In some sets it will be not accessable from outside, and to replace it, mechanism as a whole should be dismandled out. If this does not help, replace the Laser Picup Unit, and its strip wire, which goes to the main board from Laser Picckup unit. OK.

No remote
hi! you need universal remote control. i am sure it can control everything that comes with a remote. you can buy it in computer shops, or shops explicit for technic. it costs around 15$.
A dvd is stuck the door wont open
Remove the top cover.
There will be several screws holding the top on. Remove all and slip the top cover backward to remove.
This will expose the internal system. You will see the disk inside under the laser disk reader.]
You will see a gear the drives the sliding disk holder/loader. This is the part you see come out of the door onto which you place the ****. Roll the gear with your finger and the holder will move. Keep going and the disk will come out as normal. Remove the disk and try to plug the unit in and press the close button. The unit may close as per usual. If not rotate the gear again until the holder goes full back inside. Again try to plug in and press open. It may start working. If not is had problems.
Hope this helps
