Replace cmos battery
Hi,
A computer may sometimes show
error messages related to time and date options or other errors like 'no operating system or new CPU is installed'. All these are indications that it is time to
change the battery of the motherboard i.e. the CMOS
battery of the system. The
depletion of this battery happens and hence it must be replaced ideally every five years. The replacement process has to be carefully followed to avoid any inadvertent problems. Saving the
BIOS data prior to the battery change and configuration of the same, after the installation of the new CMOS
battery, must also be done properly.
And also share a informative link please read it.

I believe I may have inserted the wireless
The USB wireless adapter can only go in the port one way or PCI-E wireless card can only go in the slot one way. If you forced either one in then there's a great chance you did. Of course there's a chance your power supply is dead, but if you try powering up and the power supply fan spins and nothing then it's your motherboard/cpu etc..
Gateway dx 4320 wont turn on
It could be a few things:a faulty power switch - you say that you've changed the PSU, but did that include the switch?it could also be a Faulty Motherboard or CPU. If either of them are fried, you won't see anything come on either.I'd suggest checking the switch first because that's the cheapest and easiest to replace
Cant find cmos battery on gateway dx4320-19
Welcome to FixYa
Here is an image of a cmos battery for a motherboard. Hopefully you could use this as a reference
A cmos battery could be located anywhere on the motherboard but they all look alike.
Hope this helps
I have a Gateway LP2417 monitor and there's No sound.Hoe do I fix it,so I can hear the video that is playing?
This monitor may not have built-in speakers. It may have supported Gateway's monitor mounted sound bar. That sound bar connected to the 3.5 mm audio out on a computer and a DIN port on the monitor.
The simplest solution is to connect your source to appropriate speakers. Depending on your audio setup, you could connect the video source to a receiver with HDMI IN and HDMI Out (ARC), computer speakers or an audio extractor. (If you are using an HDMI cable between the Gateway LP2417 and a computer, you may need to reset the audio output to use basic computer speakers (3.5mm jack).) VGA and DVI connections don't support audio so I assume you are using the HDMI port.
I hope this helps.

How to make touch screen on gateway computer upside down and how to put it back?
f you want to use your touch screen on your gateway computer in an upside down orientation, there are a few things you need to do.
First, you need to change the orientation of the screen in the control panel. To do this, go to the control panel and select "Display." Next, click on the "Settings" tab and then click on the "Orientation" drop-down menu. Select "Landscape (flipped)" from the menu and then click on the "Apply" button.
Now that the orientation of the screen has been changed, you need to adjust the position of the touchscreen so that it is in the correct position. To do this, go to the control panel and select "Hardware and Sound." Next, select "Pen and Touch" and then click on the "Calibrate" button.
Follow the on-screen instructions to calibrate the touchscreen. Once you have finished, the touchscreen should be working correctly in the upside down orientation.
I hope this helps!

I have a 2017 Gateway All in One Pentium Model zx6980 Push power button monitor comes on faintly No signal HD something. Will not boot
It sounds like there could be a few different issues going on with your computer. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem:
- Check the connections: Make sure all cables and connections are secure and properly plugged in. This includes the power cable, monitor cable, and any other peripheral cables.
- Check the monitor: Try connecting your computer to a different monitor to see if the issue is with the monitor itself. If the other monitor works, the problem is likely with your original monitor.
- Check the hard drive: Disconnect the new SSD hard drive and try booting up the computer without it. If the computer boots up successfully, there may be an issue with the hard drive or its installation.
- Check the battery: As you mentioned, the issue could be related to the battery on the motherboard. Try replacing the battery with a new one and see if that helps.
- Try booting into safe mode: If the computer is still not booting up, try booting into safe mode by pressing the F8 key during startup. This will allow you to troubleshoot any issues with your computer's software.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, you may need to take your computer to a professional for further diagnosis and repair.

I need a gateway laptop recovery cd
Gateway does not provide recovery CDs for their laptops. Instead, they provide a recovery partition on the hard drive that can be used to restore the laptop to its original factory settings. To access the recovery partition, you will need to press a specific key or combination of keys when the laptop is first turned on. This key or combination of keys will vary depending on the model of laptop you have. You can find instructions for accessing the recovery partition in the laptop's user manual or on Gateway's
