Hi, if a selfclean oven door lock fails to open after the self clean cycle and sufficient cooling time has elapsed (approximately 1 hour), there are several things you can try.
Unplug the unit or shut off the circuit breaker for 5 minutes. Plug the unit back in or turn on the circuit breaker. Set the clock and gently try moving the door lock lever (is so equipped) or opening the door.
Set the self-clean cycle again and only allow it to work for 15 minutes. Cancel the self-clean cycle and allow the oven to cool. Gently try moving the door lock lever (is so equipped) or opening the door.
If these procedures fail to correct the condition, the lock must usually be accessed and moved manually to open the door.
Some model ovens require the oven door to be manually unlatched before the controls are returned to the OFF position or else the door may not be able to be unlocked. Check the owner's manual for proper operating procedures.
The try to change the thermal fuse and lets see if it will restore the digital control. If it doesn't, then you have to replace the display kit..

there is an element in your oven that needs to heat up before it will light. it needs to be replaced. collect the serial number and model and if you go to sears they should be able to help you with the problem
We have a Kitchen Aid
The first thing I would check is the breaker for the oven at the breaker box. I have encountered similar problems and a partially thrown breaker ( or one pole of a double-pole breaker) can cause this. Find your "range breaker" in your breaker box and cut it off then flip it back on. There is a good chance that might fix your breaker. If it is an older house with fuses, then the range would be on two fuses and one of them is blown. This happens to dryers also (if the right fuse/breaker goes, the motor runs but it won't heat)
Hope this helps
My display reads F5:E7 on
Well, its 10:30 on a Saturday night, and I was so frustrated by my Kitchenaid Oven. I set it to clean, but afterwards it would not unlock. the display read F5:E7, which i found out means the door unlocker won't work.
So, how did i fix it, well there are two ways, to get your oven door open.
I only found this out after tinkering for 2 hours, and found the easiest way to get your oven going again:
Pull your range out so you can see behind it. You will see a rod in the upper center part of the oven. There is a cutout in the metal and you can see the solenoid that locks the oven. It is connected to a rod. This rod is what goes to the front of the oven and is what is keeping your door locked. Simply move that rod the opposide direction, it will click, and presto, your door is now open.
I never bothered to replace the solenoid, because I didn't know if it was bad, or the controller board. The Solenoid itself is $90, I don't want to even guess what the control board is.
So, not technically a fix, but it will get your oven open. Just don't clean it automatically any more!

I was cooking in my Kitchenaid oven and the door
We had the same thing happen
Turn the oven breaker off, then let the oven cool completely. Turn breaker on, there will be an error code appear, push and hold the "bake" button for at least one minute until an error message appears, then press the off button.
This reset the latch on our oven
The oven stops working in the middle of long jobs.
Sorry to read about your problem, I hope this helps you out.
you could have a defective temperature probe and the stove is overheating and shutting down.
you can test this by placing a oven thermonitor in the oven and set at 300.. see if the oven does not exceed 330 if it does, you have defective temp probe..
if the unit fails during this time and you do not exceed 350, you have a defective control card.
