Minolta dimage scan elite 2 slide feeder problem
Hi Kwest, i hope you have got a measuring scale with a clip. When you fix the slide or film watch the pin and film hole. If the holder not fitted with it , then manually change the holder length and fix it. 1st time it will take a time to fix but once, if the film holder grab, then all slide and film go easyly for continus scaning. Please follow the link below, its very helpfull for you.

Where can I download a driver that will work in
Unfortunately support for your model has been discontinued. The most recent driver is here
http://ca.konicaminolta.com/support/americas/scanners/dimage-scanners/dimage-scanelite_5400/software_drivers/drivers/ver115_win.html
but only supports officially up to Windows XP.
If the driver does not work in XP SP3 and Vista, this may be due to full system access being required by the driver and/or its ancillary userspace software.
You can either try running it as Administrator, configure for XP or 2000 compatibility, or if nothing else works, you may be forced to install VMware or Microsoft VirtualPC and virtualize an ad hoc installation of Windows XP SP2 with updates inhibited, in order to be able to run the scanner. In enterprise environments whole PCs are often set aside to run outdated operative systems in a controlled environment; you may do the same thing with only one PC and VMware.
When I try to open the Scanner software the
Minolta's crummy software is notorious for this. Most people can't get it to work even by removing and reinstalling the driver software. The best solution is to use a third-party driver software called VueScan. You can download a trial version for free to see if it works before you commit to buying it. If this doesn't solve it, you most likely have some sort of hardware problem.

"scanner is busy" message
Turn the scanner off, disconect from computer, turn on again while its disconnected, let it do its startup routine for a few minutes. When it stops making noises, turn off again. Turn off computer and restart. Connect scanner again to computer and turn it on. Start the software. I'd appreciate if you'd let me know if it helped. Otherwise you might need to open it or send it for repair to Sony. Service contact is here:

Dimage 5400 on an Imac
Try deleting a file called MFSLibInit which the scanner sometimes seems to erroneously create when you launch the software. The file will appear in the dimage folder (you'll find that folder in the preferences folder within the library folder). Then re-launch. This solved the problem on my powerbook but I now have a new MacBook pro and am having the same problem and this is not solving it. Good luck.

Delete and re install software to prove that is not the cause them come back
Hi i have minolta Dialta 520 Photostate machine
The error code C-1028 on a Minolta Dialta 520 photostat machine typically indicates a problem with the paper feed system.
Based on your description, it seems that you have already replaced the PWB-B Board and checked all jacks, but the problem persists. In this case, there could be a few other potential causes of the error.
- Paper feed motor
- Main control board
- Gears or other parts in the paper feed system
- Paper feed sensor
Regarding the Bet Pin, it could be the name of a specific pin on the PWB-B board or in the paper feed system, but without more information about the specific location or context it is hard to say exactly what it is referring to.
It is recommended to consult the service manual of the machine, or contact the manufacturer or a professional technician for further assistance. They will be able to diagnose the issue and provide the necessary steps to fix it.
