Toner sensor error 413K displayed

In the side of the blue handle on the toner there should be a window that has a white flag inside it. the surface of the flag may be dirty and require cleaning. alternatively, there is a sensor opposite this in the side of the printer that "looks" for the white flag moving during the startup sequence that may also require cleaning. K in the code would indicate K or black toner is the one to be checking.

Why can't I use a toner and drum set from an OKI c5250 in an OKI c5200

While the drum units may appear the same, chances are Okidata puts a different chip on it that makes in incompatible. The C5200 will use drums from a C5150. The C5250 appears to use different supplies.

Faint line when printing a letter

hi this may be the toner roller or supply drum for the toner cartridge . if it scratched or worn it leaves marks on the drum or the roller, which in turn fills with toner and leaves an imprint on the page, you can check these , just remove the toner cartridge and look at the green roller and also look at the black roller, it might be a simple case of changing it or cleaning it....hope this helps

What kind of photo paper should I use to print out photos

Hi Anne,
The printer you have is a laser (LED) printer. This means it uses high temperature at the end of the printing process to "fix" the image into the paper. The paper you appear to have used is for a HP Inkjet printer...basically when you put that paper through your laser printer it "melt it" and blister it. What you need to use is Laser photo paper (here an example)
Cheers, Ed

Cyan drum life

Cyan Image Drum with an expected life of around 17,000 pages. This is based on printing A4 sheets in a typical office environment. The image drum is attached to the bottom of the toner cartridge, and is one of the easiest consumables to replace.

Oki c5250n paper jam

Unfortunately this may require and engineers visit. If you pull down the MP assembly by using the handle in the middle at the front of the printer you can then see a small "gearbox" at the right hand side of the transfer belt. This is common to feeds from both trays and could be worn. If you remove tray 1 and temporarily tape up the sensor arms to fool the printer into thinking it has a full tray installed, you can the test, by applying a little pressure to the feed roller, to see if it positively moves forward or if you are able to stop it turning. On a brighter note, you may just need new rollers instead of cleaning them.

Printing envelopes on the Oki C5250

There are 2 entrances into the multi purpose tray. The one I needed access to opened from the sides and not the front (which opened the entire front cover). There was then a flap inside which allowed me to adjust the size of the documents to feed in, including envelopes, which the main tray doesn't.

Oki 5250 380 paper jam

Sometimes you will find debris has fallen into the printer. Take off back to clean it out. Something as small as a staple can create this problem.
