If I understand correctly you have put 24V DC on the DVD player? If this is so, then unfortunately, it will most likely be totally destroyed? Most things I get in my workshop that have been subject to even a small over-voltage, say 6V - 9/12 v, are totally wrecked, so in a DVD such as this 24V would destroy almost all the logic chips, that work on 5V DC, and may others as well as other electronics too.. Most likely it would be beyond any economic repair?
However the only real way to tell is to use testing equipment to do this, also too a service manual would have to be obtained as well.
If one took the device to a service center and asked for a "Quote" as to cost and weather it's economically worthwhile to repair, wouldn't be a bad idea at least this way you would know for sure.

Hello,
the fault is obviously from the laser (lens) of your player. The lens is very weak such that it cannot load/read data on discs.
The best to do now is to replace the lens and your player will play all discs again.

Hi Bruce, what's going on with you TCL set is one of the COF IC's on the panel boards is shorted, that's why it blew the power fuse on the tcon, a new fuse will blow and not fix it, don't order a new board as that won't help either, the set unfortunately isn't going to be fixable as a new panel won't be available and when they were a few yrs ago they run as much as a new set.
