Screen works once in a while but a lot of the time
When the screen appears not to work, are you able to bring up the TV's onscreen menu? If not, it would appear you have a problem with a video board since the TV still maintains power. I would say service is likely required and should be looked into before it gets worse and more expensive to fix.

My pioneer avh p5700 won't display movies what
this is a security feature integrated in the player, when u are moving(handbrake is off) u shouldnt be able to watch movies, well unless u have the ability to drive SAFELY and watch a moie, witch i do doubt about. green wire should be connected to the hand brake sensor. or just make a small switch(not more than a couple of pounds or just brake any unusfull appliance that has an on/off switch and use it :-)) ( one end connect to the wire and on the other side to any metal part of the chassi - do NOT connect with positive!!) put it on a easy location and every time u start ur car have to turn the switch off and then back on this way the player thinks u are not moving and the hand brake is on.
REMEMBER, DO NOT TRY TO DRIVE AND WATCH MOVIE SAME TIME AS I DO KNOW PEOPLE TRYING TO DO IT, IF U WANT ADVICE FROM SOMEONE THAT HAD AN ACCIDENT FOR THAT REASON, A CAN PROVIDE U WITH THE INFORMATION U NEED !!!!

do the same with the ground wire (black) (ground to ground on toggle switch) (make sure to follow logos on toggle switch)
finally install e brake wire to center pin on toggle switch

How to get around wiring to the parking brake so i can watch mov
I may as well tell you as this isnt exactly a secret. You must put a switch in line so that the green ebrake wire sees nothing when you turn the vehicle on and then after the deck turns on you turn the switch on so it sees ground. That will bypass it for you.
After starting up, however, it needs to see a dual pulse. So you must switch it to ground 2x before the video will show.
