do u wanna sell that pioneer i ve got the same one with a custom face plate i love these radios

the blue wire is for hands free mobile connection, you do not need to wire this up unless you want hands free

Take the green parking light wire and put it to 1 side of a toggle switch, ground the other side of the toggle switch. Put dvd in wait for warning screen, flip toggle swithc off, then on. You should be all set.

Remove the plastic trim ring... and use the pioneer keys in each slot on the sides.
This will allow the entire chassis to slide out.

This is done as a safety feature. They are not allowed to set it up any other way because the driver isn't suppose to be able to watch dvd's and drive.

if the screen needs to be wired to the dash light switch it will not change unless the lights are on, if the wire is disconnected it is possible to bypass it making the screen stay bright.
although it would seem more likely that the brightness could be adjusted on the unit settings or by a button on the unit itself

Check the power, ground, remote and fuse on the radio

if everything else seems to be working it could be the ribbon going through the hinge, common problem with flip out screens

Have you tried going into the menu and searching for this function?Also some car stereo's have a sub menu when the radio is turned off or in stanby mode it usually can be reached by pushing your menu button and holding for a few seconds also again the power has to be in standby mode. if this works look through menu for your problem.
