I shut off my car
Make sure the yellow wire is going to a source that still has 12v when the key is turned off. The yellow wire controls the memory and needs to be connected to a constant power source.
What does each of the wire colors mean
If you have not got a manual for this set, go to Ppioneer web sit and look for customer support/service enter the model number to download a manual in PDF format which you will be able to print off. This will explane all the wiring connections to hook it up. Good luck.
I need help getting wiring diagram for pioneer

Need to wire it into dodge dakota
you will have to check with a radio dealer to get the correct "pigtail" to install that into your Dakota..and also the dealer can tell you if it is compatable with your Dakota..i hope this helps
No Sound
check your speaker connectiions .who did the wiring and how? if a wire to a speaker is make ing contact with another or even touching metal in the dash .it will cayse a short,therefore nosound will be produced but unit will still popwer up'also check you r mute button you might just have hit the mute function by accident.
Time
For most Pioneer single CD players, you can set the clock using the following steps:
1.Press and hold the SOURCE button until the unit shuts off.
2.Press and hold SOURCE again until the clock appears. With some models you will press and hold the FUNCTION or AUDIO button instead of the SOURCE button.
3.Press the left or right arrow to select the segment of time you wish to adjust.
4.Press the up or down arrows to increase or decrease the numbers in the blinking segment.
5.Once the clock is set correctly, press the SOURCE button to exit.
