Pioneer DEH-P4700MP CD Player Questions & Answers
How do i connect Pioneer
If you are looking to connect this radio at home, you will first need some kind of 12V DC power supply with an operating range anywhere between 9-16V. You can purchase these online or at most electronics retailers (Radio Shack, Fry's Electronics, etc.). Simply connect the constant memory power wire (yellow) and switched accessory power wire (red) from the Pioneer's wiring harness to the "+" terminal on the power supply and the ground (black) wire of the Pioneer to the "-" terminal on the power supply. Make sure to have at least one speaker connected to the speaker output leads of the Pioneer for sound. The speaker connections are as follows: Front Left + (white) FL - (white/black stripe), F Right + (gray) FR - (gray/black), Rear L + (green) RL - (green/black) RR + (violet) RR - (violet/black). And that's it! Sound at home with your Pioneer radio!I hope this information was helpful.

Radio turns on but no sound 1999 dodge intrepid
If all your connections are made correctly its is possible that one or more of the speakers have shorted out. Some radios will shut down the internal amplifier if it sees a problem.
Best way to check is to remove the radio and access the speaker leads. One speaker at a time take a battery like a 9v and put the positive and negative leads on the terminals of the battery. If the speaker is connected correctly than you should hear the speaker pop. Don't worry it will not damage the speaker. If you do not hear the speaker pop than there is issue between the wire leads and the speaker. Maybe the speaker is blown or just disconnected in the door.
If all the speakers DO pop when you applied the voltage than it is an issue with the deck.
Hope this helps.

Replaced my battery noew my pioneer cd player
pull your face plate completely off, look for a small indented hole that you can fit the tip of a pen in. note(its not on the back of the face plate) on the actual head unit. make sure while doing this that your vehicle is started or at least in acc position

HOW TO CONNECT PIONEER DEH-P4700MP TO 91 MAZDA 626
Hello pleazallnite,
Here's a
link to the wiring color code for the Mazda 626. This
link is to downlaod a copy of the DEH-P4700MP owners manual. The wiring diagram is on page 50. You can simply connect the wires by function to the vehicle wiring. But a better solution to avoid cutting or tapping into the vehicle wiring is to purchase an aftermarket wiring harness. The Metra part number 70-7901 appears to be the correct harness for your vehicle and is available from
Crutchfield for $12.99.
Hope this helps.

How to ajust speaker front to back
Hello bill_cordova,
Start with the "AUDIO" button. Press it until FAD appears in the display. Press the up/down buttons to adjust front/rear balance. FAD:F15-FAD:R15 is displayed as the front/rear balance is moved from front to rear. FAD:0 is the center position with the balance equal between the front/rear speakers.
Hope this helps. If it does, please rate as "FixYa".
