Pioneer DEH-P6600 CD Player Questions & Answers
I have a pioneer deh-p6600 head unit and when I
Error codes 12 and 17 are for a dirty or scratched disc. First thing to try would be a different disc. If this does not work most higher-end pioneer head units have a software reset button which is not well marked but usually located behind the face plate and you can use a pen or a pin to push this. It needs to be held down for a few seconds and this will reset all of the settings to factory standard. This does mean that you will lose all saved radio stations, clock settings, audio settings etc. If it still wont play any discs after that it will likely need more detailed attention from a technician. Cheers, Dan

Turn the stereo off by pressing the "source" button on the bottom left corner of the stereo's face. Press the "function" button, the lower of the two buttons to the right of the stereo display, until the clock appears on the display. Press the arrow keys at the far right of the stereo's face to adjust the time. Use the left or right arrows to toggle between hours and minutes. Use the up and down arrow to increase or decrease the hour or minute numbers. Press the "function" button once you have set the display clock to the correct time.

I have a pioneer super tuner3d it has a mute wire
This is directly from the installation manual from pioneer website for model DEH-P6600
(Yellow/black
If you use a cellular telephone, connect it via the
Audio Mute lead on the cellular telephone. If not,
keep the Audio Mute lead free of any connections.)
Basically, you don't hook it up unles you have a cellular telephone in your vehicle, not a personal cell phone.

We cant find the power cable in our rover 420 sdi
If its a aftermarket stereo, the red wire is ignition, yellow wire is constant 12 volts, & black wire is ground. The speaker wires should be purple + & purple w/ black stripe - / white + & white w/ black stripe - / green + & w/ black stripe - / gray + w/ black stripe - /....then blue is for power antenna. Thats most aftermarket radios, some have orange for a dimmer but it depends on the brand.

Buttons stopped working
The contacts on the faceplate or radio are dirty. Remove the faceplate and thoroughly clean the copper contacts with wet Q-tips in alcohol. Also clean the ones on the radio.

Purchased a jeep with pioneer dehp6600 receiver.
Remove the speakers and trace the signal pairs (wires) to their origin, maybe they are still factory harnessed where you can access a connection point behind the head unit. Here are the factory color codes .
Hope this helps
