Samsung SyncMaster P2450H 24" Wide TFT Screen LCD Monitor Questions & Answers
My P2450 has been working
First you must find out if the monitor goes indeed to stand-by : disconnect it from the pc and start it, it should go to no source detected warning message then go in stand-by. Now look at the status light, if it's blinking then it's indeed in stand-by; if it's completely off then this signals a failure of the power board of the monitor - it's no longer capable of delivering the necessary current to the mainboard.
If the latter happens then the defect is hardware, you will have to take it to a tv repair shop and have it fixed.

I have a samsung moniter itts about 2 years old
If you mean by lack of contrast, that the screen illumination is low, then you probably have a faulty backlight, i.e. one or more of the cold cathode flourescent tubes is not working. Although this may be repairable, it may be more economical to buy a new monitor. Get a quote from a TV repair shop.

Error messge "Check Signal Cable"
Your Lcd monitor i guessed is working. Try to check your system ram or memory and video card. You must discharge your electro static in your hand first before touching any of the computer components because it is sensitive to electro static, you must hold the computer casing for about 1 minute only. Then unplug the video card and memory and clean the pin using eraser to remove the dust and brush (small paintbrush) it also. Dust can cover the video and memory pin which will not be detected by your motherboard.
Please rate me.

How to fix pink colur screen on sync master 794 mg samsung
The connecting cable or the video card would be the first suspects. Try a different cable to connect the monitor first, if there is no change, the video card in the computer would be second to look at. Can simply connect a different monitor to your computer to troubleshoot this. If the testing monitor works, it will be the graphics card that is the issue.
